We pitted next to Seth Wilson on Saturday at The PAS, and I believe it was Seth's dad who told us about there being a race at Victorville on the Memorial Day Saturday, don't quote me however, i could have misheard him and it had actually been on the 31st. He said it was a $5000 to win Open Comp Show (then again, they may all be open comp). Being a Bay Area based team, this was the first we heard of the track and this particular show.

Good luck to all who compete at this race.

First the name is Faas, and your right ....two weeks before the proported event and no one bit of advertising-zero information.....they either backed out or it's an invitational and no one I no was invited! If you wanted to come on the normal[joke purse] event on the 25th perhaps they will announce the event then. That's a Sunday race, after a the Fri. /Sat. dwarf car nationals,so I dought the track will be as good as it would be on the 31st,but maybe they'll pull of a miracle as they did on April 19 and present another great track.........do yourself a favor Gordy, put a sceen in front of radiator and build some spark plug protectors..you will suffer some rock damage....I know you cherried tha little stinger out........I've still got a good DT3 you can have ..let me know

I was wondering the same thing. We unfortunately missed the first race and were planning on attending the next one on the 31st. I attempted to e-mail Cary Faas but Yahoo told me the e-mail address was not valid. I saw the highlights of the first race and they looked great. Hope this event happens and is better than the first one.

It would be nice to know if this race is still on because i know of some racers who want to run this race, but are unsure if the race is on or not. The sooner the better to get this event advertised for the drivers and fans and to make this race one to remember and build the sport up.

and yes you are right packersfan...the sooner the better for the promotion/advertising to take place to try to draw more fans and attempt to build a new fan base for our dwindling sport.

When you click the link on the SCRAFAN.COM home page it brings up the flyer for the April 19th race. RonnieG if you are correct (and I presume you are) we will be there. Victorville looks like a racey little track. Hopefully there will be a good car count and some great racing. Any word on a car count or purse? With VRA off that night maybe some of their cars? The Arizona boys are off that weekend also. Maybe some of them will make the trek?

Got an Email from Cary Faas this afternoon confirming the 31st date. They are "just finishing up with sponsors, etc.". Race should be a barn burner!
