I am not one to complain, but last night at ocean speedway and this is not the first time this has happened, but what the hell is wrong with the scoring at ocean speedway! From what I hear Furr comes from 14 to finnish 3rd but the lady doing the scoring says no he was 4th now if im wrong please tell me but if you bring the checkered and yellow out at the same time you do not go back to the lap before plus Furr already had pass the 21 car along with Bud K and then when you try to talk to the lady who scores, well its like talking to a wall, this is not the first time scoring here as been srewed up, if you look at there web site they will show cars starting in the wrong spot all the time! Ocean speedway has a good thing going here, you have cars coming in from all over the place some making long halls to put on a show, but if they keep getting screwed in more ways than one ocean speedway may find there car count go from growing to only having a hand full of cars. This thing started out as a small series and has grown and has some very good racers and well known name racers showing up now, dont blow it ocean speedway! Rick Wright jr GOT SCREWED BIG TIME LAST NIGHT! PLEASE GIVE YOUR SCORING LADY A GOOD KICK IN THE ASS OR GET SOMEBODY WHO KNOWS WHAT THE HELL THEY ARE DOING!!!!!!

I have never seen a sight where some many driver names are spelled wrong.

What i want to know is why the 31 car got to start the A-Main when he finshed 7 in the B-Main and then wasn't even scored in the finish????? 23 cars started the race??

We tagged the back of the feature as a result of the provisional option that the series sponsor or promoter has. It is written into the rules and was not an "open practice". I would have elected not use the provisional if I didn't have a sposor sitting in the stands, that made it out for the first time this year. Wish we had a better showing all together, but.....that's how it sometimes goes. Sorry it seems to have pissed you off, but it is in the rules and I was just utlizing the rules.

SUGGESTED EQUIPMENT Page 3 of 8

A) Rock screen B) Drivers head nets C) Roll bar padded on drivers opening for safety personnel D) Working fire extinguisher in your pit area

** Series Sponsor has the choice to add one unqualified car to the A main per night. If the Sponsor exercises this option, the driver and or car owner will receive NO points or prize money.

QUALIFYING SHOW

A) Draw for qualifying position, lowest number will be first out. The first qualifier will receive one free lap, before going green for two laps back to back.

this is right from the speedways 360 rules section. i also think that the promotor believes he has the right to grant a provisional at his option as well, but i am not going to say that is a fact. the 31 car was the first alternate and was ready to race if a car did not make the call. being the first alternate, jason utilized his ability to have first choice at a provisional providing the series sponsor had not designated it to another car yet. this has been in the rules since the start of the series. jason had a sponsor in the stands that came to watch for the first time. unfortunatly the team missed the setup in qualifying and did not time in well leading to them starting in the rear of each of their races. with the track being fast and tight and the team making adjustments trying to get the car better without going too far over center, jason managed to finish just out side a main event transfer spot in the B main. jason used a provisional, granted by the rules, in the way it was intended. to show a sponsor in the stands that the team had the ability to perform respectible even when starting out the night be hind the 8-ball. jason does not have the resources to chance destrying his car with some bonzai moves to try to get to the front. he has to be smart and take what he can get and try to learn and improve. this is only his second year in sprints. he and the team are still learning. the track conditions have been better at the speedway and the team is finding out what changes both jason and the car like. jason came from last to finish 12th, even though he was not scored for it or will recieve credit for it. jason could have raced harder and perhaps done better, but he knew he did not want to take a chance on hurting someone elses chance at a good finish and just took what he could get while trying to show his sponsor some of his talent.

Didn't piss me off....might have pissed a few of the drivers that had to race you when you didn't earn a spot in the field, and found a loop hole in the rules...

But if it is in the rules it must be ok.

There will now be NO provisional unless it is Rick Wright's #35 car
