Saw where Donnie Ray Crawford is taking over for the fired Don Droud Jr in the Sparks No.91 car for the rest of the year. Crawford's first night will be tomorrow at SFS. Cool! Droud can't handle the wing I guess...lol.

Droud is driving the Ochs Brothers #1x out of Kansas on the NCRA sprint car circuit for the rest of the season and going for that series championship. That was mentioned on the front page on my news section when I updated yesterday.

Naw, just whatever. Plus, when I talked to Bobby Sparks a couple of months ago he thought that Drouds tenure with him was temporary as he knew Droud had a ride on the NCRA circuit. So, unless I missed something, Droud wasn't fired. But knowing me, I probably missed something.

You know tonight showed why the ASCS is such a great seies, too bad SFS was a 1 groove track
w/ little to no passing. Dover did a great job of getting that car on the front & stayin there, A multitude of yellows helped but I hope every one is OK.
Congrats to Andy Shouse gettin a 2nd despite many attempts by Jason Johnson to get him on the restarts and going into 1 & 2.
Haad it went dry slick it couldve become a 2-groove track but it didnt happen.
And with all the yellows we never got a chance to see the leaders fight thru lapped traffic...
. any more thoughts anybody ???

um. I better not share my complete thoughts. In short - I thought the show was junk. our weekly shows are 60 sprints for 10 bucks and there is passing. Tonight - 20$ for 26 sprints and no passing. what the hell justifies this? Wright? the Johnsons? I don't think so. I don't think its worth double price to see how fast a lap they can turn without passing anyone.
On top of causing an hour long delay - the track sucked. no passing - as is the norm when ASCS is here. Watching ASCS at SFS is like watching one of those fast ass am-trak trains. WOW LOOK AT THAT FAST FREIGHT TRAIN GO!
ain't ascs fault. they don't control track conditions. I bet all the drivers were a lil disappointed (to say the least) with that track. Thankful for the fantasy league and all the cool folks scattered about at SFS each week - and the good conversations and stuff - thats the only thing that made some of the admission worth it - it sure as hell wasn't the racing. WHy not run 2 sets of heats? I'm definitely lookin forward to the next 3 weeks at SFS. Both weekly sprint classes run for the next 3 weeks.
