btw - To date only 1 person outside the Official League has picked in this league - well 2 if we count SFSfan's pop. I thank everyone who has put down picks in this league - but want to damn near personally challenge everyone else to please pick in this league. 2bsprint71, sprint50, 007 (Lenhart) - where ya'll at? - it only takes about 30 seconds to type in 4 picks and post. David Smith Jr. - where you at man? and there are many others - On the Gas (Neighbors) - we need a villain in this league!

C'mon ya'll - this league was created so that folks outside the official league could play too - and against half the official league at that - no long term schedules with the Open League or anything - its just everyone against everyone every week. it's not even something that takes a lot of effort. although - you can put some thought into it if you want. or you can just randomly pick. I don't see any reason why a whole lot more of ya'll ain;t playin. so for the last time - bring some new blood to the Open League and challenge some of these guys!

Just make 2 picks for each class racing that particular week. this week it is Factory, Mods, Supers, and Champs.

Here is the significance of 2 picks. The 2nd pick is only counted if the first is not there. so if you wanted to step out on a ledge and pick like a Randy Timms, or Jamie Passmore - but don't know whether or not that pick will be there - you still can. alwasy a good idea to make your 2nd pick one you KNOW will be there.

It is scored by low point total wins. If your driver finishes 3rd - then you get 3 points for that pick. If he is 17th - you get 17. ALL non-transfers get a 21. so if both your picks for said class aren't there - you'd get a 21. or if only like 17 start the feature - you'd get an 18. Anyone can play in the Open League. The Official League has 16 set players with an entire set schedule. but the Open League doesn't have head-to-head matchups - just everyone against everyone. and it resets every week. although I still keep track of it all on my desktop. also - all picks have to be in by racetime of friday - like before 7pm.

So like if you wanted to play this week. Just find the thread titled "Week 6 Open League results" - and then make your picks. friday after the races - quite late - I score it and post it. and in those updated threads is where you make the next round of picks. This week is week 7. in the thread that shows the Week 6 results - you'd make your week 7 picks. and so on each week.

I always try to keep the current threads on the front page - in fact, the current ones always stay on the front page. So just check out the Open League thread on the front page - and everyone makes their picks there. Thank you very much Christina for inquiring. trust me it is a lot more simple than I make it sound! lol. I have a tendency to complicate the obvious. I'm trying to get my mom, pop, and girlfriend to pick in it this week. having a bit of trouble with getting em registered though. but yeah so far both leagues have been extremely fun and competitive. If you have any other questions - please don't hesitate to ask.

Sounds pretty simple, so what the heck I'll play! I'll have to go check out the results to get an idea on who to pick in all but the champs since I'm not up there LOL. Going to try and make it up to SFS more often this year though. Last weekend was great, and if my son feels better and we're not working, we might make it back up there tomorrow night.
