Two more to go and three good friends of mine will hide until next season starts, I am almost holding my breath. My history as a Flyers fan was once documented in the Philadelphia Daily News In April/81 when I lived in Calgary. Beating Washington with a Montreal cast-off in goal (Huet) was sweet but this will take the cake. I also have 4 of them in m hockey pool as well and if San Jose can come back I should win it for fun (16 Players). I think we should use Kate Smith tomorrow night to help put us up 3-1. Take It Easy.....

I must say that I love the Philadelphia Daily News. I am about 70 miles from Philly and this one newsstand inside a local mall near me carries the Daily News regularly. I usually try to pick it up at least once or twice a week. As for Kate Smith, it's sad that none of the players and barely any of the fans that attend the games even understand the meaning of playing Kate Smith before a big Flyers game.
A couple years ago, the Flyers brought out the Kate Smith video before a game and the players were asked after the game if it motiviated them. The response was that they did not even know who Kate Smith was, much less why a tape of her was being played before the game.
