This car is from the Penn area (1970). It is Smokey Snellbakers old ride, it is also one of the few Bobby Allen chassis left from those days. These were the best in their day,

Notice those wheels at the front? Paul Martens in Fairveiw, Ok still makes those! This design is the first for Weld wheels, and what Doc Grice of OkC made for years.

Looking at that car Brian, wonder if it is the same owner who Keith Kauffman drove for in the 80's , seen pics of it in old Openwheel Mags , sponsored by Hardee's and carried the # 880 too.
Good looking car,how bout in the original pic with Smokey at Williams Grove with the Headers running all the way back to the rear torsion tubes , that is something because seems lots of guys do that today to get more torque and bottom end out of the motor, might have been on to something back then.
How bout those Firestone Diamond tires and that wheel in the pic by the front of the car unmounted is just like one I had with the first 100" car I bought which you now have Brian, I believe it was a LR wheel.

If you'll look closely, there is an identical car behind it, and an Indy car wheel on the left rear.

From the looks of the background in the pics , the guy had some vintage stuff to sell too.
