According to the weather forcast for this coming weekend in the midwest it looks like the Outlaws are gonna get another weekend off. Just wish the weather would get a little better so the guys could race. Looking like Mother Nature is gonna be up 10-5 after this coming weekend.

Predicting the weather in Iowa 7 days ahead of time - I would give it 10% science, 90% guessing.

For Knoxville it doesn't matter if its rain or shine. If its April or May, they will cancel a show for any reason they can find.

Yep, and it's pretty easy for all the "professional" fans to sit here and bitch about it. Have you ever taken into account how much money would have been lost last weekend? I know that doesn't matter to you folks, but to the people that race as a business (promoters and racers both) it was a money losing deal to most involved. I want to get the racing going too, but in all reality, realize it would not have been good for all involved to TRY and get the race in last weekend. Do you want to bury your $300,000.00 tow-rig in the mud trying to get in or out of the pits? Do you want to tear up your stuff racing on a fast and ROUGH race-track? Do you want follow the leader racing, where how you finish is determined by what number they pull for you? Do you want to pay the fuel bill IF they would not have been able to get the show in? Do you as a promoter want to pay the purse with 800 people in the stands? Do you want to pay your staff for a complete night of work with no income at the front-gate? Do you want to spend the money to keep the dozer and every other piece of track equipment running for 12-14 hours TRYING to get the track decent enough so fans and people like you don't bitch about track conditions and one groove racing? There's alot that goes into making these decisions and that's what you people need to remember everytime you go to griping about a cancelation. Sorry about my rant, but look at the complete picture will you people. Here's hoping they can get some racing in somewhere next weekend.

Exactly why I said they will cancel for any reason possible. They could have raced, it wasn't because the weather, the weather was fine. I guess my problem is don't make it sound like you cancel for weather if thats not the problem, or don't schedule races in April when you can't get enough fans to pay the bills.
"The Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series event scheduled for Saturday, April 26 at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa has been postponed one week due to inclement weather, including a mixture of rain, sleet and snow that has left track officials insufficient time to prepare the racing surface."
Pretty sure we never had any snow or sleet.

I'm with you Muddy, Saturday was real nice! Knoxville is known for getting the show in, in the past! Burlinton has ran the past 2 weeks while Knoxville has cancelled the same 2 and we got literally drowned on Friday afternoon 1-1/2 - 2 in rain in Eastern Ia.

I'm sure the WoO drivers are more than ready to get to the weekly grind, running AllStars, ASCS, and weekly shows will only go so far. Not enough money in any of the other series to keep them going for long. Knoxville has to be ready to get their season started, this could be their best weekly show in years. Hopefully all is well this weekend so everyone can make some money and see some racing.

I would like to take the time out to thank all of those involved in canceling last weekends outlaw shows. Instead of paying $18 last weekend to see 20 to 30 allstars at eldora, I got to see 27 allstars, 8 outlaws, and kasey kahne. It sure made my night. So thanks again.
