Does anyone know if young Nic Faas will be racing at the PAS or at the big midget race in Madera? Also wondering if drivers Garrett Hanson and Josh Ford will be at Perris or in their midgets? Another question will J-Rod and Mitchell be at the PAS? Whew! so many questions. Thanks for any response as I am looking forward to the PAS this Saturday.

I believe Nic is running the full Western Midget schedule for Western Speed. Since Madera is their home track i would think he will be there.
Don't believe Josh runs a pavement midget anymore?

Nic is running Madera this weekend. Last I talked to him, he was not
going to run the entire western midget schedule, even though he would
like to. He will run the midget when Western Speed wants him to, the
rest of the time he will run the sprint car. According to his schedule,
i believe his next sprint car race is June 7th because he's going back
east to run Raceway Park...www.nicfaas.com
Hard to say what Hansen's plans are for this weekend...

Midmad68, I posted this on the Nor-Cal board, and have not gotten a response from anyone, can you help me with the question???
While reading a press release regarding Saturday's events at the Altamont Speedway, I noticed that the midget race was cut short, by 23 laps, due to a "Tangle" between Garret Hansen and Nic Faas. Was there anyone there Saturday that can explain what went down? Thank-you in advance.

I spoke to his dad Jerry as well as a couple of other people that were
there...the word is that he spun in his own oil going into one of the
turns and got t-boned by Garrett. There was a big oil fire...i guess it looked pretty spectacular but there were no injuries...

Talked to Jerry yesterday here at Madera, it looks as thought they are going to run for points with the midget on the West Coast. They are also taking Nic to ORP (formerly IRP) and run the legendary night before the 500.
Good luck Nic, they are a great family.

Tripcrwn,
Garrett will be at Perris tonight in his car.
I was at Altamont with Garrett and what midmad68 stated is exactly what happened,it was a shame as both Garrett and Nic were pretty fast.Nic was running 2nd going into turns 1&2 and Garrett was going around the outside of the 4th place car when Nic spun and went back up the track right in front of Garrett who was hard on the gas and they hit,Garrett said he felt like that was the hardest he had ever hit anybody. The reason the race was red flagged and checkerd was due to a lot of oil on the track as Garrett hit Nic right in the oil tank area and oil went flying everywere and they still needed to run the sprintcar main and were coming up on their curfew. Both guys were a little bruised and beat up but otherwise they were ok.

Thanks to everyone who responded. I really like Nic's style on the track and hope he does well in both the midgets and his trip back east. It is always fun to watch the young drivers move up the ladder and certainly Western Speed is a top running team. I am leaving for the PAS soon and I hope the Mitchell team will be on hand as well as young Garrett Hanson. We were at Roseville for the Western Sprints the night that J-Rod won at the PAS. Thanks again to everyone.
