what a way for the Knoxville guys to start the year. first race of the year is against the World of Outlaw guys who have been racing since early January. a similar thing happened for the IRA guys a few years ago when their first race was against the World of Outlaws at Powercom. it wasn't pretty. it was just tough because the IRA guys were rusty and the WoO's were in mid-season form.
i think some K-ville teams should come up to Dodge on Saturday so they can get warmed up and get in a feature.

How many races have the WoO run? Not as many as in the past.
Most of the Knoxville guys will get some practice in at least Friday, and why would they go to Dodge and give up their points when they have a race that night at home?

they get Knoxville points for racing a WoO show? and if that is true, how many points do you think they are really gonna get anyway racing against those guys? plus, i forgot, most of these Knoxville guys don't travel anyway. they are kind of like the guys who race at Slinger EVERY Sunday night.
at least the IRA drivers travel and go to different tracks every week. being at Knoxville every week, every year, has got to be getting really old for the fans and drivers. well, another year of De ja vu for ya!!!

Knoxville guys don't travel? Billy Alley, Brian Brown, just to name a few, and now with Brooke Tatnell, Danny Lasoski, Dion Hindi, Justin Henderson, Mark Dobmeier, Ricky Logan, Brandon Wimmer added to the mix with many others, there's some miles already with those guys. Plus, if you think it gets old for fans at Knoxville, you haven't been to Knoxville lately. This is going to be one of the best years in HISTORY of this Historic Raceway. I can't wait!!!!!!

The weather forecast looks like a rainout for both Husets' and Knoxville, I hope not but looks that way...

If I remember right Knoxville not only pays feature points but show up points on WoO nights for the regulars.
Haven't most Knoxville regulars ran at least a few shows already this year? Some might have ran more shows than some WoO teams.
Nice try on a dig and Knoxville, but Deja Vu is pretty darn good when you get to go to heaven every week. I love the IRA but they run at Darlington, Wilmot, Freeport etc.....not even close to the same league.

IF it rains Friday at Huset's, word is the WoO show would be moved to Sunday. Can anyone confirm?
Knoxville's forcast is for dry on Saturday, High 61 Low 37. Bring a coat and gloves.
If you are running for points at Knoxville, you basically have to run the WoO shows.
Car count won't be a problem at either track. I'll take a guess and say 55 at Knoxville and 35 at Husets, maybe more if they do run on Sunday.

john, according to the weather link via knoxville raceway, it is suppose to be 62, low of 45. That wouldn't be bad at all, would it?

Knoxville regulars get a minimum of 100 points for racing WoO shows, and get to keep whatever they earn over that...

I was just going by what Channel 8 weather said on the Wednesday noon news. As long as it's not wet. That and a lack of a north or northwest breeze would be excellent. This race last April had great weather and a really good walk-up crowd. Hopefully, history will repeat.

John, when you say 55 and 35, are you talking car count or the temperature?
Fenders are like vacuums... they both suck.

Like I said in another thread when the WoO are not racing there are a few teams/drivers that chose to race elsewhere. Prolly why Dollansky and Meyers are on top right now. Last weekend was the first that Meyers did not race since he won at Manzy on March 1st. I say if they can top Schatz and Saldana on Sat. their looking pretty good.
GO TK!

Knoxville,,, One of the greatest shows on dirt. Period the end. I haven't noticed the "traveling" IRA beating up the Knoxville cars too bad when they have visited the Marion County Fairgrounds. The home boys seem to be handling their own.

Whitney had fast time last year and would have won if he didn't get wrecked by one of the "home boys".
