I see that Gary Owens made the haul down to Lawton last weekend. Results say last in his heat and a DNS in the feature. Anyone know if he crashed or broke? That is if anyone even went.

During the heat as he was coming out of turn 3 his right rear wheel broke and he did flip. I don't think he had any other major damage...just in awe as it was a new wheel with only 3 races on it. He'll be back to Lawton.

He'll be back to Lawton possibly next weekend or the weekend after. He made an awesome pass to win the A-main at SFS tonight.

It, sucked big time! Where were all the Falls and North Texas guys at????????????????? They have another track around the Falls area I don't know about?????
Next week its back to the Devils Bowl with more cars in the pits, then Lawton has people in the stands!!!

Try to understand this!! Last time at was at Lawton it sucked! This time with the great line up of cars there and some very good drivers, along with the track and races being run in a timely and effective manner, it was a class operation!

Since Lanny been at the track the last 8 weeks of the season and the winter nationals. The car count came up a little everyweek. I hate to see when he not at the track next year.

Why would Lanny not be at the track next year?
GOD, Family, Dirt Track Racing, OU Football, and the
Dallas Cowboys is what we live for:)

Every track has its good and bad nights, for that is just part of racing!
As for lawton not having the $$$$ like OKC, I dont buy it. Enid, Okla. is about the same size as lawton and they have had really great racing most of the year. The car count has been down here lately but that is because of all the winternationals going on everywhere else. If Lanny wanted to help his car count, his southern sportmods rules would be the same as everyone elses, I even seen where they only ran a 15 lap A feature at the winternationals  thats really sad.
Enid is running 30 laps at the winternationals and ran 40 at their big show earlier this year. I put this because I read that they only ran 15 laps because sportmods overheat all the time....NOT IF THEY ARE LEGAL... but you wouldn't know that if you don't tech them!!! JMO
Tracks that are treating all drivers and fans with respect will continue to grow and have awesome nights, those that don't, well..........
