Question: Say Dittman flips in his heat and is done for the night, is he scored last in the A? Is it the same as if he didn't make the A? Or would I have Owens in the A?

The way I understand it is the only way your backup pick is used if your first pick isn't there. So any driver not making the A is scored with 21 points.
P.S. You know Dittman will be looking for you if something happens.lol

thats a good question and I'm happy to answer it for ya SFSfan.
It would be scored as 21 - if your first pick is present - and doesn't make the feature - it is 21. all non-transfer cars are scored as 21. Your 2nd pick - is a backup pick - and is only relevant if your first pick is not there. Same as if both your picks for that class are not present - you get a 21 spot. thats happened to me twice.......................
So in effect - if Dittman were to dump it in his heat and not make the A Main - you'd get 21. If he started the main - wherever he finishes is the score you would get. The only way your 2nd pick is scored - is if your first pick is not present at the track.
David Jones was right in his interpretation.
Uncle A - I got a good chuckle out of that. lol. just pick the highest finishing Allen! j/k of course - but still funny. lol.
