Many of you know Brandon Rogers of Wichita Falls, TX as former owner of Sprint Car Exchange. Others may have raced with Brandon in Oklahoma or Texas in the #11 family-owned sprint car. He even raced my car one season when they weren't racing their own.
On Saturday evening, Brandon's mother, Linda, had a brain aneurysm and she died Sunday evening. Jannie & I went to the services this morning in Wichita Falls. Linda was only 65 years old and her death was sudden. Many people probably didn't even have a chance to hear about this until now. When Brandon raced, Linda always brought cookies to the track. She had an ice chest full of sandwich supplies and made sure that I even took a cookie home as I left the track if there were any left! It was a pleasure to get to know both Linda and Jack. What a great family! The obituary mentions that the funeral home has a spot to post tributes at www.lunnscolonial.com. Brandon also keeps up with his Oklahoma racing friends here on tidbits. Whether good or bad, the Rogers always went through things together as a family. Brandon and the entire Rogers and Young familes are missing a strong part of their family now, so I hope you'll keep them in your thoughts.

I got to meet Brandon's parents a couple of times. They always had a smile on their face and seemed to enjoy life and racing. My heart and prayers go out to Brandon and Jack and the rest of the Rogers family. May God bless. I agree with OKCfan12, JD that was a classy post
