I forgot about Harry "the Horsethief".....just got an Email from him this morning. He claimed the aliens are coming to take him away and he was saying goodbye to all of his friends.

Guess Jack Hewitt didn't win many popularity contests! LOL. I was at the race in March at Eldora but not in the picture. My favorite was/is anybody who straps on a sprint car.

Present Jerry Richert Jr. in Joe Kouba's #55 at Cedar Lake. Jerry and Joe are both friends who live nearby. I'm partial to drivers and car owners who live in the neighborhood.

Taken before the feature as they lined up on the main straight.
As a first time visitor to the US (from Australia) back then 30 years ago, I was absolutely mesmorized by Eldora as I guess most first time visitors still are to this day.
