My favorites from the past include Jan Opperman, Rick Ferkel and Bobby Adamson.
My current favorites include Steve Kinser, Kenny Adams and Dave Steele.
I have many other favorites, past and present. Who are some of your favorites?
Let's keep this topic friendly, no negativity or knocking other's favorites. And please, no wagering on which drivers will get the most mentions! lol
....Opperman forever!

Well that's James McElreath leading them to the green flag, but I'll take Larry Dickson!

First favorite was Sammy Swindell but I've had many. Hank Lower the Hurryin' Hoosier, Brian Tyler and Brett 'Rocket' Mann were early on and eventually Jac Haud, Tony 'the Storm' Norem and Tim Kaeding followed. Ahhhhhh, the memmories, Take It Easy.....

Too good SRC ....
Sorry ... have been away and out of reach of a keyboard. It was late March 28th 1976 and Sheldon Kinser took the honours as the photo below will attest.
Jan Opperman is behind him, sitting on the cage of the car.
I wonder whether any present day contributors to Hoseheads are in the photo? Or know someone who is?

My favorite started out as Bobby Carrigan until he didn't run any longer. Others included Bubby Jones, Larry "Boom Boom" Cannon, Johnny Meyers, Herchel Jenkins, "Gentleman" Jim Moughan, the Camfield brothers, and Francis "Wild Man" Kelly. These guys all ran at Joe Shaheen's Springfield Speedway, but back then they called them supermodifieds. They weren't called "Outlaws" but some of these guys did a fair amount of traveling back in their time. I do agree with nodust, I think that they are all pretty Great!
