Thank you all for playing in week 3 of the Official SFS Fantasy League. And also for all 16 teams getting their picks in this week. I know some are not fond of updates and changes and what not. But we got a couple good ones in store this week. The point system update I'll post in this thread later - hopefully tomorrow night - but the scheduling change I will post now.
By popular demand (literally) - each team will now play every team OUTSIDE their division 1 time. The original way I configured the schedule had each team playing just their own division for the duration of the regular season. But I devised an Einstein-like way for there to be "inter-league" play. I'm a rocket scientist. lol I'm really full of sh*t. Anyhow - you play each team in your own division 1 time in the first 7 weeks - of course thats obvious. but each team will now matchup against all 8 teams in the opposite division starting with week 8 and ending with week 15. In week 16 we will go back to divisional play. your wins and losses will still be done divisionally. The point standings will look and be done the exact same as they are now. the only thing that will look any different at all - is the matchup schedules. This interleague-type of play is done so that everyone can play everyone at least once - literally.
Now - since dirt track racing is a sport that goes upon the mercy of the weather - so are we. The schedules have been SET - scanned for mistakes and everything. anytime there is a rainout - that week is effectively cancelled - not postponed to the next week - but CANCELLED. By cancelling it I don't have to reset the entire schedule in the event of a rainout. Just as SFS doesn't do makeup's for rainouts - neither do we.
And to be completely off subject - PLEASE POST YOUR WEEK 4 OFFICIAL SFS FANTASY LEAGUE PICKS............................here.
Ya'll have a good weekend. and for those of you traveling to any one of the many great regional race tracks - like TMS, West Siloam, Cowtown, Ada, Creek, Enid, and all the rest....................have a blast and be safe.
For Week 4 of the Fantasy League's (april 11th) - there are 3 classes racing. ASCS Sooner Region, USA Modifieds, and the Factory Stocks. Please post your Week 4 Fantasy League Picks here in this thread.

Sorry ladies.
Wait, its heads now too? Dangit, I thought it was just fuel and drugs. You know next I'll have traction control on. And not the cheap one, the $10,000 one. And after that...maybe even a motor that runs. haha

I admit I received a payment. He gave me a discount on some of those illegal substances he likes to dabble in.........................he told me he is switching his main focus. His motor is now his 2nd priority. He said victory in division 2 is now his main focus - and that he will take it "by any means necessary"..................
and if anyone takes this seriously there is a problem.

There's no payment? I thought that the losers had to pitch in and buy me a tire at the end of this deal!
Actually in the last week I have quit school and work to focus more on this series. I'm also working on a weekly magazine for all of you that need advice.

weekly magazine? I think it's stock might fall if you go on a losing streak...................lol
Ya'll all remember that the new point system applies for this week - and every week from here on out. I started a thread for it - but just in case I'll give an overview here as well.
If you pick a car that is in the top 5 in points - you will be scored on a 1-20 scale - same as has been done up till now. But if you pick a guy outside the top 5 - you're on a -5 to 15 scale.
no matter the points - if your pick does not make the feature for whatever reason - it's a 21 spot.
This system does not apply to ASCS Sooner or National - or Sprint Bandits. It applies to all 5 weekly divisions at SFS. I feel this is the best week to start this - since we only have 2 weekly classes running in week 4. If anyone has any questions about this please do not hesitate to ask.
Since the very inception of the Leagues - this was the idea. It promotes some healthy STRATEGY in your picks. It is my belief - along with the founders of the league - that this really does add a very welcome element in deciding your picks.

I thought my recent under the table payments were going towards your Wining the Fantasy League deal. Little did I know, it was actually for a new Right Rear tire.
Does this mean there will be no weekly e-mails?

lol. as for ascs. Jason Johnson's website says he will be racing here at sfs friday. I'm thinking Garry Lee Maier and Travis Rilat will be as well. There will be a strong Tulsa contingent - Brian McClelland defending champ - and I bet Jamie Passmore, Danny Smith, and Kenneth Walker will follow. Kevin Ramey will probably be here too. I'm sure Danny Jennings will run - and Joe Wood Jr. too if motor stuff is ready....................
others too I'm sure -
but Johnson, Rilat, and Maier make up a storng group. as well as our locals and the Texas group that will come as well.
