Andy Gregg thanks sponsors as season kicks into full gear

By Gary Thomas

Placerville, CA – April 4, 2008…With the Northern California sprint car season getting set to embark on a busy stretch, Placerville’s Andy Gregg and Team Guts Racing would like to thank all of the sponsors and supporters who it make it possible for the 16x to compete on a weekly basis throughout the year.

With the price of gas skyrocketing and the other various costs involved in maintaining a competitive racing team, it puts more emphasis than ever on having quality sponsors involved. "I want all of these people to know how much we appreciate their support," the 28 year-old said.

Gregg would like to thank Guts Racing, Myers and Sons Drywall, Dale Miller Plumbing, Circle Racing Wheels, Straight Line Roofing, Comstock Mortgage, Nor Cal Vinyl Fencing, JLB Inc, Roughcut Construction, BR Motorsports, V-MAC, The Paint Spot, JP’s Auto, Matco Tools, Brothers Vacuums, Armstrong Paintworks, Warehouse Paint and GT Promotions.

Gregg and the Guts Racing team will be competing in several events over the next week and it all begins tonight with the opening Feather Falls Casino point race at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. Then on Saturday morning Gregg will make an appearance with his No. 16x machine at the grand opening of the new Cameron Park Sport’s Clips store. He along with F & F Racing and the John Taylor Motorsports team will all be on location from 10 am till 1 pm helping to bring exposure for sprint car racing in the area.

Later that night Gregg will take part in the second point race of the season at his home track of Placerville Speedway. He will then be back in competition at Placerville just a few days later on Wednesday during the re-scheduled Civil War Series season opener. A couple days after that he’ll tentatively be at Silver Dollar Speedway on Friday for the re-scheduled Bill Brownell night, followed by another Civil War event in Petaluma the next night. Don't forget to stop by the rig to say hi and check out our merchandise that will be on sale.
