It's been a few days but just wanted to congratulate Kaleb Hart on being tabbed the new head announcer at Skagit Speedway in Washington. Kaleb's old man Kelly stepped down as the announcer to relocate and start his own media company.
Kaleb had been the pit reporter at Skagit and did an awesome job with it and I have no doubt he'll be great in the booth on a regular basis.
Want to wish Kelly the best of luck in his new gig as well. It's been great being able to listen to him over the mic at the Dirt Cup the last handful of years. Both he and Kaleb are good people.
Here's the release:
Skagit Speedway Promotes kaleb hart Posted on 3/19/2008-
When longtime Skagit Speedway announcer Kelly Hart decided to relocate back to Wenatchee Washington and start his own media company the legendary clay oval was left without a head announcer. When I was a young boy watching the Jimmy Carr's, Butch Gilbert's and Steve Beilter's race, I always dreamed about being the guy who got to talk about them." Kaleb Hart Said "This is the fulfillment of a childhood dream, and I'm proud to be part of Skagit Speedway as we step to the next level."
Speedway owner Steve Beitler commented, "We're going to miss Kelly, We wish him all the success. Kaleb has worked with his father for many years at several tracks. He is a very talented announcer and we're happy to have him on our team".
