I once saw Bubby Jones come through here with a red nance in the mid '80s (Bromme?). I have always like this model of Nance since the first time I saw one. These days it's almost impossible to find a good example of one.
Note- The "rake" of the top of the roll cage is what does it for me. These cars were built between 1985 to 1987.

Of course the front tubes going down at an angle may be what makes this model so appealing as well.
The 100" cars seem a little different in the back but still it would be cool to find one of these gems. Any ideers?

I have a Johnny Gilmore/Nance copy, but it's been tweaked a bit too much for my liking.

I may know where one of these(if not the one in this picture) is. It is clean as a whistle, bumpers too. Any Bob Ewell fans? But then who isn't?
This roll cage style preceeded the pictures above. The top of the roll cage is not as angled as the ones I'm looking for. Also there is no bulge just above the header. These cars didn't quite have the "down in front" attitude like the later ones that were built for a short time. The one I want was when the movement was looking for stiffer frames. I have heard them called 'wedge, traditional, mid rail' cars.
There may have been 2 styles at the same time. dunno
By the way- This is one of Ewells 85-86 cars in which he got an NCRA championship.

Dan Dan the Sonic Man, Justin Henderson's car owner Dan Oswalt from Iola, KS used to have a mid 80's Nance chassis (white) only sitting out behind his shop. It was his first sprint car.
Not sure if he still has it. Not even sure how to get in touch with him...I used to just call the Sonic restaurant in Iola, KS during weekday afternoons (after lunch rush).

I wish they still ran those 100 inch cars. They are better then usac silver crown dirt cars.
