That is just a name that Frank at Hanford is calling his winged 360 series. They will be racing only at Hanford as far as I know.

LOL @ him calling it a national series then. For a moment, thought I missed some big announcement (but didn't think so). All I know is he better write checks to the race teams a lot quicker than he did last year or he can expect some slim car counts. I took a peek at their web site. I found this under their list of rules: F) We will run at least two heats if total car count is 10 or more. Now, I don't have a marketing degree, but I don't think I would put that on the front page of my web site. Just doesn't have a postive vibe to it.
As for the question you asked there Linda, that's a good question indeed. Who will show up? Where are you and hubby racing at?

Evan is running Golden State again this year as well the Wright One 360 series and we will be at Watsonville.
I just hope that they take the time and prep the track so those guys have a decent racing surface at Hanford.

I thought that Hanford was part of the bandit series for 360s at Bakersfield and Santa Maria? The car count should be reasonably good if it involves the three tracks. But, unfortunately Kings does not enjoy the best reputation in the minds of many USAC/CRA drivers and car owners. I think there are still bad feelings with the way they dealt with SCRA and as you noted the track condition is a big concern.

Here are the groups that will be racing at Hanford this weekend (from their website):
"MAR 15 OPENING DAY; KINGS BANDITS 360, MIDGETS USAC-BCRA & NATIONAL WING 360"
Website says $15 GA. Not bad for a sprint / midget show. I wondered how the purse for 3 divisions would get paid on a $15 ticket. I figured the racers would probably pay a pretty nice pit pass fee. I called the track and was informed that the pit passes were $40. One can take that fee for whatever its worth. My lips are sealed.....
PS: I do think the word "National" in the one class is a little comical. Maybe someone from Oregon will show up???
Oakhurst my friend, where you going this week?

The Bandits as far as I know will be running a few races at Bakersfield and Santa Maria and Ventura as well as Hanford. The "National 360 Wings" were the guys we were talking about running only at Hanford as far we know now.

USAC just cancelled their part of the Midget race as BCRA has decided that is is OK for 15 year olds to race midgets. This is a insurance laibility if you ask me.

I hear Ishi, Stidham, Ferris, Tarlton. I think these guys just want to race @ Kings and are hoping for the best from the promoter. Let's support this first race of the season and see what happens in the future. If nobody shows up for this first race there probably won't be a second one...

I didn't realize Hanford was running their own 360 wing class. I really hope everything turns out good as we desperately need to keep the track open. Maybe they will have the track in good shape this year. Good luck to Kings and what appears to be an exciting Bandit and Grand Slam series.

That should be .net instead of .com. Interesting that only the top 2 purses are listed. I applaud the track for posting a purse as that is rare for a track to do. Curious as to why they didn't just go ahead and list the full A-main purse. Never saw just the top 2 posted before. First time for everything as they say.....lol

USAC web site (Western Midgets Schedule) still lists the midget race. I wont doubt that micro19 got the call he said he did. If such is the case, its curious as to why someone at USAC didn't delete the event from the schedule. Maybe DJ went fishing? LOL. Anyway, USAC's site also says the main event is to be only 20 laps. Is that correct? Anyone from BCRA able to post the laps to be run?
PS: Better be more than 20 laps or Oakhurst will be in the pits looking to whoop up on somebody for his time and expense to drive down there....LOL
