Interesting comment I seen on the Williams Grove message board, in that WOO will fold before end of year. I know most are suffering cabin fever, but I'm looking at the details, and honestly, it doesn't sound to far fetched.

Going UP. You posted it at $0.24 March 5 @ 2:50pm!!!!

Yes they have been going belly up since they took over from Big Ted.

But every race purse and every year end point fund has been paid and not one check has bounced.

Drivers following them have doubled since it was sold.

Tracks must be making money because they keep booking shows and new tracks have been added since it was bought.

Would love to hear what kind of dooms day excuses the WoO naysayers would come up with if the WoO would have never gone public.

So what's your point? Remember what it was like before 1978? If the WoO were to cease operations it would not be good for Sprint Car racing. It would have ripple affects through the entire sport of dirt track racing. That includes your local tracks.

Be careful what you wish for.

Not really there was one buy early in the trading day at $0.30 and it started heading back downward soon after. Someone was either shorting the stock or seeing it is a penny stock someone could a small trade of around 15,000 shares intentionally at a higher price to try and elevate the stock price. The 2007 10-K filing will be released next week, deadline for the filings is the 15th. In it we should see that WRG lost between $12-$14 million in 2007 and are begining the 2008 season with around $2-$4 million cash on hand. The first quiarter of fiscal 2008 ends March 31st and the quarterly report should be released by early or mid May. If the losses continue at the current rate the first quarter filings should show that the company is broke. Do not see them folding but i do see WRG filing for chapter 11 protect while they reorganize.

Am I just oblivious or doesn't it matter that now they have a title sponsor again?

Who cares, there will always be a group of guys touring around who will continue to pound the Posse at every track in the country 'cept America's Slowest Half Mile where they'll still win most of the time, Take It Easy....

last time i checked, entering the corner at 136 mph was the same speed no matter where the track is located...but maybe up in Canada they have those METRIC FEET?

I could not care less about the financial crap. I just like to watch racing. If the WoO folds anouther group will take its place. There has been a national touring sprint car series for 30 years so there must be some money in it so someone would step in and fill the gap.

If Fred Brownfield were still here I THINK the outlaws would already be history....Hopefully they are able to keep going though. Maybe everyone should buy some stock to try support the wrg I know Im going to.

1978 was the year I had to make the decision whether to stay in as a car owner and make a sizable investment just to stay competitive with this new WoO or to park the thing and find something else to do. Up to that point we had fun without having to spend a fortune and the car was paying a lot of its own bills and that was without any help from sponsors.

1978 and beyond wasn't that great in my opinion. In my case it was better before.
