I'm looking at the empty seats at Nascar races and wondering how this economy is going to impact the racing this summer. A lot of track owners are keeping an eye on that situation. I think in the final analysis the economy and price of travel is going to have more impact on short track racing than anything else this year.

Did ya see the empty seats at Atlanta Sunday ?? They tried their best to not show them but a couple of times they screwed up and there was thousands and at the start/finish line too boot. NASCAR has a real problem when their biggest "premo" tracks are not selling tickets in their home area ( southeast U.S.)

Yeah, I noticed that too but we'll give them a pass this time and see how they do after the weather warms up. The Atlanta weather was worse than a northern Minnesota dirt track opener (where snowmobile suits are often mandatory). Nobody missed much, that new car combined with too hard of a tire resulted in the most boring Atlanta race I have seen.
