Thunderbowl WOO event cancelled

By Gary Thomas

Tulare, California – February 21, 2008…The Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series event scheduled for this weekend at the Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway has been cancelled due to the bleak weather forecast.

Track officials spoke with the National Weather Service and based what they had to say, the decision was made to cancel the entire weekend to save everyone from driving down only to get rained out. World of Outlaw officials were also wanting a decision by today, since many of the teams are waiting in Phoenix where the series will compete next weekend.

The next event for the Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway will be March 29 when the Golden State Challenge King of California Series and Western States Modifieds share the bill for an exiciting night of action.

HMMM how do I start?

I just got home from Cali

27 hours of straight driving pulling a trailer

There nothing like the talk that happens on a road trip

Basically we drove to Cali to have breakfast at Black Bear Dinner

Funny quotes from this little road trip:

During are meal the one and only Peter Murphy call me and said; and I quote "Turn around Mate"

Than another friend call to find out what was going on so I told her and she said; "You drove all that way to have breakfast and turned around and went home; and you didn't take a picture of your food? What kind of photographer are you?"

I would like to thank a couple people: Tony Veneziano and Steve Jones both took time to call me when I was down there. Tony called me when he was in a plane going to Twolarry and Steve from work (I think he was still in bed)

Don't know if this makes any since but I've been up a day or two with no sleep

Brian

"TURN AROUND; MATE !"
