Was WAY cool to have the King in the big house at Carver Hawkeye Arena last night...even if poor Kurt did take a beating on the mat from the big, bad Hawks.

Just a quick observation and question.
If a WoO driver were to show up at a college wrestling match in Minneapolis/St. Paul they probably wouldn't get noticed by very many people. Up here there isn't much crossover between stick-n-ball and racing fans. I've got photos that I take plastered all over my cube and on my computer screen at work and if anybody says anything it's usually "what kind of car is that?"
So my question. Was Steve recognized by a lot of people and seeing that it was down in Iowa where he's won a lot of Nationals did the announcers mention that he was there? Up here a NASCAR driver might get a mention at a college wrestling match but a dirt track driver would be under most people's radar.

Well, at least we knew he wasn't there for racing!

No, not much notice. Though they are not terribly far apart by miles, Iowa City and the Knoxville/Des Moines area are really worlds apart when it comes to this.
