Zack West looking for part time 360 or GSC ride
By Gary Thomas
Chico, CA – February 14, 2008…Young sprint car racer Zack West is looking for a possible ride with the California Civil War 360 Series or a part time Golden State Challenge Series ride for the ’08 season. The 17 year-old is coming off his first season of competing aboard an 800 hp winged sprinter.
West is set to run the family owned We St-ing Racing JEI No. 14 in the Feather Falls Casino Friday night point Series at Chico’s Silver Dollar Speedway, but would like the opportunity to branch out and gain experience by running more tracks this season. The youngster’s plan is to run in about five GSC Series events this season, in an attempt to retain his rookie status for a possible run at the Rookie of the Year award in 2009.
He however, is hoping to possibly run those events this year at tracks outside of Chico to try and gain experience. On the same hand he would also like to compete in some 360 sprint car action with the Civil War Series to get as many laps as possible during the year. The Silver Dollar Speedway season kicks off in a few weeks with the running of the 22nd annual Mini Gold Cup. West will look to build off his rookie year in the We St-ing Racing No. 14 as he competes at the ultra competitive ¼ mile clay oval once again.
Sponsors as of now for the No. 14 team will be Community Construction, Ing Excavation, the Cinecon Group, Pace Supply, LRT Graphics and Graph X Designs. The team is always looking for new sponsors and marketing partners to try and keep up with this expensive sport. For anyone that would like to discuss sponsorship as well as possible ride opportunities please contact Zack at [email protected]
