|
I am waiting on the details and the confirmations before I release anything "official". Seems to be some details that need to be ironed out first.

Pah-leeese expand it to THREE days. We just can't justify flying out for only two. We've seen it rain too many times in too many places.

That much I can tell you will more than likely be the case - three days is on the agenda.

RELAX!!! The race isn't until SEPTEMBER! The details I have are sketchy. I'm not going to put out any more than I have until it is nailed down and set in stone. There are 4 tracks plus the All Stars involved - so it takes a little work in coordination of efforts and ideas. Not to mention the overlap of the Selinsgrove race that we weren't expecting - so the details are being discussed.

Yeah - I remember. What a great weekend of racing last season. Looking forward to bigger and better things this season - just hang on for a bit until I know FULLY what all the details are and if the logistics of this thing pan out.

RELAX!!! The race isn't until SEPTEMBER! ?????? Then why are you posting stuff about this huge big race, if you know nothing about it ? Why don't YOU relax?

Leave it to meatbag. Where did I say I know nothing about it? I know a lot about it - but I am waiting to see how much of this "dream" will come true.

I have heard some of the details about this and it truly is a "dream". Let's hope it all goes down.

Swamp, I'm not trying to be smart, but why weren't you expecting the Selinsgrove National Open to be run on that weekend? Selinsgrove has held their National Open that weekend for as long as I can remember.

I didn't mean I wasn't "expecting" it as if it were a surprise that they scheduled a race that weekend - I just honestly never put the two together in my head...but then again I don't schedule the races. I just mean it is unfortunate that they are on the same weekend. So unless we can move our date somehow or they move theirs in some sort of cooperation effort for the PA tracks/teams - looks like there is a conflict. I'm just tossing out irresponsible speculation - I have no idea what the conclusion will be re: the two dates or how it will all shake out. Those are the answers I am waiting on from the decision makers.

Hey everybody, I would just like to inform everybody that in two years a new super sanctoning body is going to start up and overtake the entire great lakes region. We're not sure how many shows will be scheduled or how much it will be to win, but i guarantee it will be BIG! We might have two day shows, three day shows, and a speedweek style format. We might have elephants and clowns for the kids to enjoy. I can't say much more, but i can tell you that it's gonna happen. You guys will just have to wait and see just like swamp always says. oh, and two years ago i spoke to jesse hockett, danny smith, brent kaeding, and steve kinser and they said it sounded like an interesting deal. I think with them saying that, you might as well pencil them in as being the 1st 4 drivers of the new series!

I can't see any top teams towing nine hours when there is a $10,000 to win race in central PA that weekend. Port Royal was $30,000 to win and a grand to start last year and did not draw a single team from outside central PA.

Its good to know that you can be a complete asshole (and I mean that in a warm, friendly sort of way) on more than one message board forum. I wouldn't want to think you were getting soft over here on Hoseheads. Nice work - I even laughed about the clowns a little...picturing you to be one of them. Have a nice day!

Is the Port doing their 'Dream' race again this year? I've checked their site and see a TBA in August.

Thanks Swamp, its friday so i'm hoping it will turn out good! FYI- I use to be a clown for kids birthday parties but the pay wasn't very good so i gave it up. You have a nice day as well. I'm not an asshole (especially not in a warm, friendly way) either. For some reason I can't stand half of your posts anymore. Do us all a favor and post it when you can fill in the gaps with actual facts and details. I don't know why someone would give up a big build-up and not deliver!? I guess my point is...you originally posted the fall classic as a race that was gonna attract the POSSE but they can stay @ home and race for 10,000 to win? No posse guys will be there, so don't try to get everyone all excited about nothing. I'm done!

Obviously you know more than anyone else involved. Thanks for your input. However I will wait until the PA Promoters work it out before I write off the idea that no Posse cars will come. For the record - I've never thought much of ANY of your negative postings either, so we'll agree to just stop reading each other's posts and move on.

Can't believe I just read through two pages of posts and know less about this deal now than I did before...
I guess this is agood lesson for you. People in the know usually don't post things unless it actually is going to come to fruition. Can you post something in the headline when somebody actually knows something?

Since nobody wants to wait a minute and see what the verdict is on the decisions that need to be made, I'll post what I know is being TALKED about. As with ANY big announcement and grand plans with the All Stars over the past several years, I should know better than to put out information before it is carved in granite, because somebody usually finds a way to screw up a great idea...but here it goes:
1. The All Star Hoosier Fall Classic, in cooperation with Lawrenceburg Speedway, the City of Lawrenceburg, Guy Webb, Port Royal Speedway, Williams Grove Speedway, and Lincoln Speedway, have come together to attempt to have a high paying event between the two states on this side of the Mississippi who run 410's on a weekly basis.
2. Invitations will be extended to all PA Posse teams, Western PA teams, Ohio teams, All Star teams, Midwest All Star teams, Michigan teams, and anyone else who wants to participate.
3. It will be increased to a 3 day show with the first two days having a split field (based on number of pre-entries) to work as a qualifier for the Saturday show - each night paying $3000 to win.
4. The Saturday show will pay $30,000 to win and $1,000 to start.
5. The three central PA tracks will pay track championship points for their respective tracks to the Posse teams who make the trip. These details have not been officially determined.
6. There will be additional dash races for cash and other special event races throughout the 3 days...again no details have been discussed until sponsorship for these races have been established.
7. There is talk of a pay-per-view broadcast of the event if all the logistics of getting the best 410 drivers from OH/PA/MI to attend can be hammered out.
8. More is being discussed that I don't have any information on yet. I expected to get the info a little faster, but it seems it is tough getting so many people on the same page here.
So...WHY in Indiana? If you've never been to the 'Burg, it is a top notch facility with a huge seating capacity, a casino across the street, and a city who is backing the promotion of this event. It is a neutral site where no driver has an advantage of being their "home track" and even for the guys who have raced there many times, it will be different in '08 as L'burg has been reconfigured to a banked 3/8 mile track. Why not do it at Eldora? Because so many teams cannot or will not compete there due to safety, budget, lack of top notch motors for a "super speedway" dirt track, etc. Why not Lernerville? It is a big half mile motor/horsepower track. It defeats the purpose of pitting DRIVER against DRIVER and puts more emphasis on MOTORS.
So there you have it...all the info I have on this "dream race". The All Stars are working to make this a reality with the cooperation of all involved. If it doesn't materialize as planned, the Hoosier Fall Classic will still go on as per usual.
