Ahhh it's good to be a Posse fan. You always know that you can't win an argument on the internet. Why?

Because the Posse can't win on the road. Posse never travels... Blah blah blah... And should a Posse member win on the road, well he's not really Posse, or it was a fluke.... Blah Blah Blah...

Now should a member of the Posse become a traveler, well he is no longer Posse and Pennsylvania guys still can't take the big time... Blah Blah Blah.

Should a young posse driver leave PA and half a tough time on the road, well that proves that PA talent is no good. Ignoring the fact that Donny Schatz was a non factor on tour for a long time, and he got to stay on the road because he was in a family car.

Of course if my Porch was the coolest place in the universe why would I want to come out and play in the street anyway?

QFT. One of the most accurate posts I have read on here in a long time.

to disagree with most - I don't think the PA cars have a problem gettin off the porch. not at all. they even run very well quite often..............but the fans find the porch cozy. I don't see anybody arguing that that is 1 of the best states to watch sprints in - but Ohio and Indiana ain;t as far behind in talent - and especially not quality of racing - as a few select make that out to be. In fact, and someday I hope to see it to back the claim up as well - with Indiana being mostly wingless - I bet it is better............

damn it! I wasn;t even tryin to get that argument goin'.

OKC, I never understand the argument you make about the quality of racing in PA, Ohio or Indiana, since you have never been to any of them. How would you know?

The Posse goes to Florida in the winter and hides on the porch the rest of the year, accurate enough for ya single? Accuracy is what has happened over the last four or five years in Florida when the Outlaws started to come down and take the easy money the Posse did for years, sorry! McCarl, Lasoski, Saldana and Dollansky had a field day and won almost all the 410 shows available and about shut out the over-rated one track wonder boys, more accuracy for ya'. Heck, even in retirement I love this time of the year, lol. Take It Easy....

Seems to be the only question left is whether or not the Posse can bring their Knoxville win streak to four years in a row as well...flamethrower

OKC - get in your car and get to a real racetrack and look me up, i am easy to find!

thanks for the invitation - but I don't have to drive far to go to a "real" racetrack. There are quite a few in these parts. maybe not all within 100 miles of each other - lol. but.................

the drive can sometimes add to the experience..................lol

I understand that point - was almost expecting it.

can get somewhat an idea from different folks always talkin bout it. But your point is almost exactly my point. how do some who talk about their regions racing being the best really know? they don't - I don't either. It's all in the opinion of the person. A fella could be just as fond of his racing wherever he is as folks in PA, or anywhere else for that matter. thats a door that swings both ways...............

The difference is that I have actually been to just about every place running Sprint Cars or Late Models in Ohio at one time or another and have several tracks in Indiana as well (Brownstown, Lawrenceburg, Terre Haute, Gas City, Winchester, IRP) instead of basing my opinion off the Internet.

Mike, that post I quoted for truth said nothing about Florida, the Posse doing well in Florida, or the Posse doing poorly in Florida. What part of that post I quoted was inaccurate?

single, nothing I said about your post was inaccurate. Just wanted to reinforce where the accuracy lies this time of the year, every year.

Still goin' to the horse races? I sometimes wager at home on Philadelphia Park where that track announcer sounds like a clone to long time great Flyers announcer, Gene Hart. Take It Easy....

PS Apparently I have rattled the cages or awoke a few from their winter slumber on this subject, my bad....Florida will be over soon, if one of your locals can hit the set-up like Craig did last night it could be crow time for Moi....

and he is not posse or allstar or outlaw this year so why would he be included in this conversation anyways..

Penn National has been closed since early December due to huge renovations needed to turn the place into a more upscale destination with 13 restaraunts and hundreds of slot machines. Almost seems as though the horse racing is taking a backseat at the place due to the belief that slots and fancy restaurants will be a magic fix. Penn National is supposed to reopen later this month and I will be back. Hopefully, catering to the slot players won't have too much of a negative inpact on the racing at Penn.

It really is a bad deal that the auto racing track there was closed because the horse track wanted to race Sunday nights to boost their nationwide simulcast handle, and now they don't even race at the horse track on Sunday nights. I hope the horse racing does not eventually get phased out as well, given all the money Penn National has dumped into slots trying to remake their image. It is sad that the auto racing track has now been torn down and there is no evidence anywhere on the property that auto racing once took place there.

I actually wish I had money in Penn National's company stock -- it just keeps going up and up as they keep buying up properties and putting in slot machines everywhere. The stock was $8 a share in February 2003; it is now trading at $51 a share.

The slots are the only thing that keep my track here in business, sadly. Internet and off-track wagering has taken a big chunk out of track action, sadly. It amazes me that I can sit on my couch at home and wager on races LIVE from Australia and Japan let alone all over the USA, sadly, lol. Take It Easy....
