IRL 15 60 %

Sorry, one last IRL poll, I promise...lol. Just curious, and yes, everyone is painfully aware at this point that they both totally suck, so let's just get the niceties out of the way up front....lol. And just for the record as well... I don't watch either of them much myself except for the big races and highlights on Speed Report. I did grow up worshipping the Indy 500 however.

Everyone knows NASCAR is infinitely more popular, but which series honestly has the best on track action?

Both have close racing. NASCAR is known for the big one and the bump and run. As Montoya says it, now he can actually hit people...lol. But the Indy Cars have also become known for their close finishes in recent years. Plus they are faster and have some pretty spectacular crashes themselves. Most people also still consider them more dangerous, and rightfully so.

All BS aside... Which one honestly has the best on track action?

If you can't have sprints or midgets on dirt then I think the best show around is the IRL at Texas Motor Speedway. Well - it was until those in charge of racing has told them not to race side by side. I've heard NASCAR announcers also say "they should get in a single file line so they can get down to racing." That's not what I call racing.

For different reasons......I wouldn't buy an over-priced ticket to either one.

EXACTLY!!! I went to Phoenix for the 2nd "Copper World Indy 200" in 2002, and took my mom, telling her "you're going to love this" (since I was a "Copper World Classic" veteran) and it completely sucked! She (and I ) were falling asleep in the grandstands, getting our powernaps for what was to come later that evening, MANZY! (which she totally loved! ) Needless to say, the next day, she didn't really care to go back to P.I.R., (and neither did I ) but she and I couldn't wait for Manzy (and some dirt in our beers) that night! They totally wrecked what used to be an outstanding event, the "Copper World Classic" when they replaced the Supers and the Southwest Tour with the Indycars and the Indy lites. As far as NAPCAR, well that pretty much explains how I feel about that................For the price of ONE of those events, I can go to 10 Sprint car or Midget races! Do the math, and it's pretty clear where the entertainment value is...............

SUPPORT WILDLIFE, go to a sprint car race!

The straightliners are more fun to watch than the wine and cheesers of NAPCAR & IRL. Hell at least the guys on the NHRA give a decent interview. The best show is still on dirt with cars with OPEN wheels!!! Period the end.

Sprints on dirt are the best but IRL is better than NASCAR. I do agree that the Indy lites suck as a companion group.. Whose idea was it to form the Indy lite bunch?

If Nascar is "A", and IRL is "B". Then my vote is "C" which is none of the above. Nuff said!

Speeking of IRL, I still cant believe the race where Danica Patrick caused a yellow flag and during the yellow she got out of her car, climbed back in it, stabbed the gas and under full power wrecked again during her same yellow flag. When she did her second wreck she almost took out the safty saffari and damn near killed or seriously injured herself. Why didnt IRL suspend her or sit her down to talk with her and what some rules are? If that was Nascar, would she have been allowed to race the following week? This year the IRL was worth following to see who was going to fight next lol
