After 4 events the Premiums have 1 win and only 9 of the 20 available top 5 spots. Maybe they need to get off the sand of Florida back to some dirt.

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Does Johnny still say “Often imitated, Neeeeeeever duplicated. “  ?       It seems like WoO just follows HL’s lead.

- HL got a traveling safety team and then the Outlaws immediately got one for the first time ever.

- HL lets their guys have freedom and then the Outlaws started letting their guys race outside of the series.

- HL announced that they would allow sports betting.    A couple months later the Outlaws allowed sports betting.

- There was the HL International in December and now the Outlaws are going back to Canada for the first time since 2017.

- Am I missing anything ??

Which series is the leader and which series is the follower ?

the woo-zers are difinately trying to catch up to HL!  to little, to late!!  Ted HAD a great idea, way back then.  they are not now new and inovative and slip sliding away race by race...ok old timers, blow your headgaskets...

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...

I have no dog in this fight! I am a lifelong fan of sprintcars. I have attended every big race there is, seen every new sanction that ever popped up! Like it or not the WoO is still the premier series. I attended 2 HL races last year and wasnt impressed. For my money and time I, for me, will be attending outlaw races when possible this year! Just go enjoy the races you like and don't put the other down!

That's funny.  You are older than many that post on this board, but you act more childish than most that post on this board.

I agree, we've seen many series come and go. The World of Outlaws brought big time sprints to every corner of the country and made the local sport better. They still return to tracks that are not necessarily big crowd or profit areas, I think the folks that live in those areas are pretty loyal to WOO as a result.

It's a big country, there's always been room enough for more than one touring series, making this into a HL/WOO fight is a waste of time. The big teams have many deals with many sponsors to hit areas that will benefit the sponsor, thinking we know how this all works is dumb unless you're an insider.

Just one elder fan's opinion.

We are now an entire 4 races into the season and the demise of the Outlaws is being predicted.................again.  Yet, the only traveling series that scored a win in the 50+ car field was the Outlaws.  Otherwise, it was hired guns in part time rides.  (And might I add, MASSIVE hired guns)

Let's just continue to beat the dead horse.

I no dog in this fight either, like watching both series but is had to chuckle when Brain Carter the face of WRG presented to big gator to the UMP mod winner but another guy showed up to present Larson with his. Wonder if he would have showed up if David or Logan had won?

Nobody in this thread has predicted the demise of the Outlaws.       In fact, WoO has made a bunch of improvements and changes over the past 3 seasons.       They will continue to do so.    They have to because now they have competition.

So lets give credit where credit is due.   Thanks Brad & Kyle !!

Yes, you failed to mention the WoO was a national traveling sprint car racing series before the H/L decided to do the same!

IMCA

My bad, I believe the IRA is the oldest continously running series.  Can someone confirm?   (I believe the IMCA has ceased operations before)

I think continually you are correct IMCA has ceased and been brought back a few times. USAC started in 1960 taking over for the AAA when they got out of the racing business.

it has also been lost that:

the outlaws offer tow money and HL copied.

the outlaws have a dedicated announcer to the series and HL copied.

the outlaws added music to their presentation many moons ago and HL copied.

the outlaws offer a bonus for following the tour, so does HL (performance based at the very least)

'the Outlaws developed their own video platform (dirtvision), HL well, they paired with a video platform or are they owned by Flo.  Either way, HL did not develop their own platform.

there are probably many more.  You can pick and choose facts to support YOUR OWN WAY OF THINKING UNTIL THE COWS COME HOME!!  As for me, I am going to sit back and enjoy both series and love it even more when they cross paths.  Just enjoy folks!!  There is enough stake in the game for many teams and drivers to make money and entertain us far more than just having one series!!  Let's hope everyone is successful!!
