Hate to talk about it here, but the economy is crashing and difficult times are ahead. If this preserves the sport then its a good thing.

USA National Sprint tour part 3 already having doubts creeping in. I thought they were going to put up more of a fight, you hate to see it.

I my mind I am not sure one series would be capable (from both a financial or competitive perspective) of operating as a single series. There is a limited amount of $$$ to spread around and there are still a fairly small number of teams that would dominate a single series. Kep a variety and spread the wealth. It is a win-win for the fans, teams, and the overall sport.

Kinda strange.... I thought the whole idea was to give teams an alternative
But after reading the article, seems Kyle is just saying its a possibility, not ruling it out
Don't think its gonna happen any time soon, they both put out their schedules & it seems like they're both making $

Flo says they average 100,000 viewers per show... at about $180/yr. subscription, that comes to $18 million. Plus they broadcast lots of other sports
Hell, they might even be able to afford a sprint car team!

I have recently seen things I have not seen in a very long time. Race motors, hotrod motors, sprint car chassis, complete sprint cars etc for sale at unusually low prices, lots of 'em. Other things I won't mention here. Just my opinion so take it as such, thanks

Without Flo it wouldnt begin to work. I watched most races that were very good but weekdays just dont get the fans. Kyle and Brad are the face of HL series and are Brad proved He can win either series. I think its great for HL racers to have these big paydays and know some of the top guys wont be competeing. The talent is split pretty even. We dont know but I wonder if Kyle and Brad have a lot invested.

I work in a construction related business. It has been slower than normal all summer. Contractors said all summer that they had work but not big jobs mostly maintenance and repairs. Their phone wasn't ringing every day. It seems everyone caught up before Thanksgiving and it has been the slowest it has been in the eight years I have been there since. It was an election year and many lies have been told all year about the economy. I guess anyone who believes politicians would not know if it has not affected them personally.

rev---you've been on this earth long enough to know the economy has never not corrected itself. History tells us the longer the period of growth, the worse the correction is. Since our last recession was really only a 2 month blip on the radar caused by the covid shutdown, we have yet to have an actual correction from 14-15 years of growth. 14-15 YEARS! This is one of the longest periods of growth we've seen as a country without a true correction--similar to the Roaring 20's. The previous correction was the worst since the Great Depression, and that one was after 8 years of growth. The average recession happens every 3.5 years.
The economy is going to take a big dive at some point. I work with many manufacturers in my area, and some of the signs are already there. Will it happen in 2025? 2026? 2028? Who knows. What is clear? The longer this economy is falsly inflated with people spending money they haven't earned yet, the worse it's going to be when it happens.

Surprised? You believed their motives were altruistic? Many bought into that. Some suggested caution but were swarmed by the Kool Aid drinkers. Full circle but not at all surprising.

Well said. A lot of us have been around for a long time and I'm thinking we are all a bit older and probably closing in on retirement. Prepare for the R-word but I don't see it happening soon, at least not in the first couple years of the incoming administration. Who knows. Buy some Treasuries, CDs or open a high yield savings account if you are worried. I did all three.
As far as this merger BS goes.....WoO can tell Byle to pound sand. Maybe HL just goes away and the ASCOC becomes a strong regional series again. Midweek did not seem to work but if the sponsors were happy and the promoters made some money then I guess they stay the course.

This is going to be resolved in the same manner it was launched, by the desires of the entities behind the streaming dollars. Best case scenario might be one series with East/West divisions and no schedule conflicts with the large National events. Save the teams (and the series) lots of travel money.
One thing to keep an eye on is the revival of the 'All Stars'. Is it a fall back plan for the HiLimit boys if Flo turns off the money tap?

Maybe all you conpiracy theorists are thinking too small. What if this is the first step in one streaming service buying out the other? Which one is bigger?

Do you even realize how dumb your response to HTD's comment was. You truly act like an infant on here for no reason. Sad sad little man.
