Seems that the west coast swing for both the WoO and HL were dominated by local west coast drivers. Not just California but also in Washington. Last nights WoO having 7 of the top 8 from CA. Do the west coast tracks require a skill set that isnt common in other places? Is experience on those tracks truly the difference or is this just coincidence.
Even though I may not know you, I

Its the BULLRINGS, that set them apart.California has been the leader for years now, depth of talent, bigger money...its obvious everywhere they run, like Bakersfield..
Is the Edmonton track still around? toured through there in 2012.
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..
Life is good...

It is still there but is now called Rad Torque Raceway. I believe they still race 360 sprints there among other things.

Rad Torque is open. Was there two years ago. They had 360 sprints. Not many that night and 5 were competing for the front. Was decent race for small car count. Nice track but it hasnt been promoted well and the website doesnt help. Major focus is the drag strip.
Hopefully the name change was a result of a new energetic leadership. The place has a lot of potential. 8 hours from my house.

How long is the drive to Oshweken for the Canadian 360 national Rod? Just curious.

Yes its the bullrings, but also the track prep which I would describe as "rough"
My one visit to Tulare for the Trophy Cup, guys were wrecking on HOT LAPS.... Turn 3 first nite, turn one second nite, over & over

Is that because the dirt available is different? On TV, some of the California tracks look more like gravel and dust than clay like in the midwest and east coast.
