one of the biggest stories in pa sprint car racing this year has to be briggs danner. he just held off pursley and bacon to win his 2nd usac feature of the season and first indiana sprint week race. it might have been his second win of the week without motor problems while leading one of the other races. he had the fastest car just about every night during eastern storm. i'm not sure what the long term plans are for him and his team...but they just seem to enjoy going out and racing in whatever car he feels like running.
there never seems to be any drama either. he dealt with some friendly fire from joey amantea as a lapped car tonight...but took his time and eventually got by him.
their wing program wasn't as solid early in the year. i'm curious to see if they'll put it back on for the bigger shows coming up. he knows his way around the grove and port in particular. just has to get the hang of doing it with a wing on it.
as a lehigh valley native...i've really enjoyed following him these last few years and hope others are jumping on the bandwagon to see what else he can accomplish.

Damn... I've been watching all the ISW races, but it never occurred to me that they were racing on Sunday nite, been watching the Capitani tonite (I guess I have "Knoxville Fever"
Danner is good enough to contend on the USAC National circuit, & my Indiana friends think he's hot stuff too
Gonna have to watch the replay....

The other amazing thing about that feature was how they got Seavey's car back in the race after that hellacious multi-flip!
