Corey Day jumps up to 1st in 15 laps? I watched the high lights this morning and he reminds me of a patient Kyle Larson, maybe closer to Christopher Bell.
I don't like jumping the gun but with his connections and team, where he ends up is limitless. Currently 4th in points has a charter, which still unsure how that will panout. How soon will he be running ARCA races?

Lets face it. The kid is good and has a good crew, car and mentor. The sad part is he will never get a chance to run in the top open wheel race, the Indianapolis 500. Thank you to all of the car owners who thought they had a better idea in the 1970's of what the ladder system should be to become a Indy Car driver that was part of the Championship Car trail. No longer it was midgets and sprints on dirt and or paved high banked tracks, but shifter karts and road course cars. The explosion of NASCAR was fueled by all of the open wheel drivers who brought their many fans to the "roof and fender" cars because they could not get a shot at the new pecking order. If he does get sucked up by a NASCAR team it will give us sprint fans another driver to root for

Some are saying he might be the next Kyle Larson, but he may also be the next Joe Bustillos!

He's in the Hendrick piple line thanks to Kyle is what I'm hearing and if this is true and he does well there is a path to indy for him as well.

Hard to believe a car and driver coulkd be that much faster than every one else. He must also have one of the top crews in racing. A driver can not drive if car is set up wrong/

He's phenomenally talented and driving for a two-time WoO champion. If memory serves me correctly, the team Jason Meyers drove for built their own chassis and engines. If that's not the case someone can correct me. I would wonder what kind of chassis and engines they are using, but whatever it is they might be the team to beat at any top level race.

If I remember right, Meyers ran KPCs built by Steve Kent. I seem to recall some discussion that he owned his specific design but not sure if it was ever confirmed. There was a year at Knoxville with murmurs of some lf the tubing not being the proper thickness but again, I don't recall any official confirmation or action. For engines I'm fairly certain he ran Charlie Garrett and had some exclusivity there as well, with some exceptions that allowed Charlie to still do some work for local PA teams.
It does seem Day is running KPC for cars and I found a video of Day saying they're running Kistler Engines that was from a month ago. Seems to be a potent combination with his talent behind the wheel.

Corey thanked Charlie Garrett for giving him "bad ass engines" in his Knoxville victory lane speech a couple weeks ago. A few years ago Charlie did an EMMR roundtable discussion and he mentioned that he was going to be supplying engines for Jason Meyers but no driver was mentioned at the time.

He ran a Kistler engine and KPC Chassis in the 14 at Skagit when he won Dirt Cup. The Knoxville Jason Myers car was a KPC chassis as well with a Charlie Garrett Engine

Interesting. Wonder if they're using multiple builders for track size?
Here's a video from 34 where he says Paul Kistler is their engine builder at 1:20.

Jason Meyers WOO Champion ring a bell? In 2012 I had the chance to spend some time with Jason at Eldora and my question was "how do you consantly put your ride up front"? He stated "we put our hands on every part of our car to see how we can make it work better". Maybe the process is still used today, I have no doubt...
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..
Life is good...

The top drivers in this country absolutely CAN drive a car that's setup wrong. That's what separates the top drivers from the rest. Do they have some of the best crew chiefs? Absolutely. Why would you have top drivers paired with crappy setup guys? I get sick of hearing about nothing but the setups when these top drivers dominate. With Donny Schatz in his prime, RW looked like a world beater. With Rico in his prime, Rico looks like........Rico before RW got there. Donny in his prime was 3 times better than Rico in his prime. Love Rico, but no comparison. Paul Silva has always had great cars. With Larson, he's gone to the next level---because he's got Larson.
Corey Day is a stud. He's gonna be fast no matter who's wrenching the car. We need to quit discounting the talent of these top Wheelmen
