Outlaw Definition "a person who has broken the law and who lives separately from the other parts of society because they want to escape legal punishment:"

Defintion of Obedience " submissive to the restraint or command of authority : willing to obey " " Use obedient to describe someone who knows the rules, toes the line, and follows instructions"

When I was a lad, I had a black woo tshirt with the an image of what I suppose an Outlaw would be, one of my favorite tshirts  ever    Great time to watch racing live, large car counts, well paying races for what it cost to run a car, and YOU NEVER KNEW who would show up

Outlaw drivers it seemed would race up and down the country, any series but primarily the high paying woo races, sometimes WOO sanctioned 2 races the same night.  However, I clearly remember Steve Kinser, Wolfgang and Sammy Swindell at the Pacific Coast Natioinals at Ascot and also run the last race of the CRA season, Peabody Classic without wings, Later the PCN was a woo sanctioned race.  It was also a big deal when WOO drive would steal $ from the usac drivers at there big races   Now the opposite is true   gotta love a true outlaw like Brady Bacon taking WOO's money consistly at Tri State

Can a WOO sprint car driver race unlimited amount of races in other series besides 410/360 winged sprint cars?.  Can they race lucas oil late models, usac silver crown, nascar, sprint cars in australia, dirt modifies, pavement late models, dirt modifies, etc. ?

I know WOO will never change their name.  But to me, they are no longer Outlaws, only in name.  The teams  pretty much do as they are told, when and where they race, and if not, they loose the benefits of being a WOO team, kinda like being kicked out of the outlaw gang.   This is more the definition of obedience than  an Outlaw  

Just for argument sake, what would u rename the World Of Outlaws Sprint cars series ?

If it's initials are still WOO how about World Of Obedience ;) presented by NOS   (SARCASM /  Joke ) or just call them World Wide Racing group, the actual owners. 

I guess the past outlaws are now just hired employee's, but their paid well and even get 4 nights off a year to do what they  want.

If the outlaw law breakers become paid and hired employees you might wanna use the word politicans.

The new sprint car series got its name because of all of the limitations that platinum “Outlaws” face.    There is a limit placed on how much purse money a platinum driver can earn in a season.    Factors include their schedule (racing mostly every weekend from March through October), their low paying races (like the “standard” $12,000 to win races at the Sprint Car Capitol of the Wooooorlllllld), and the fact that they can’t just race elsewhere when a weekend gets rained out which has already been 7 times so far this season.       

So to answer your question I think a descriptive, accurate name for the World Racing Group traveling sprint car series is “Low Limit Racing”.

Since you're so knowledgeable about the streaming business, and everything else it seems, I invite you to start your own traveling winged 410 series - may even be be able to buy the All Star name back if you were so partial to it. Finally, you could announce the races yourself since Chase and Johnny are so bad at it.

I'm not the guy who made that statement, but I think I can explain where that line of thinking comes from. A friend of mine tried to explain his "logic". He said WoO platinum members were "limited" because the most money they could win was every 1st place payout in the WoO season, plus the 4 outside races.

In the same way, The Man is limiting how much money I can win playing the Powerball, by limiting winners to just those who bought tickets. That makes about as much sense.

Brad has talked about it.   He said the WoO restrictions limited the amount of purse money he could earn as a platinum driver.         To be clear, there is a limit with every racing series because nobody is racing for an infinite amount of money.      There is a limit with Brad & Kyle’s series but they have less restrictions so it is a “High Limit” when comparing that limit to the Outlaw’s limit.    Just look at all of the money the high rollers have won this season outside of their series.    Saturday night, Day took home $79,600 from Skagit.

What you quoted was taken out of context since it was missing the sentence that followed.

Racers in 1960 and 1970 who did not race at one track for points were called OUTYLAWS.  They looked at races and picked one to race at that paid the most or a track that they thought they could do well.  They traveled all over.  Rule books were scarce.  Engine varied from 283 to over 500 cubes.    Ted Johnson decided to round these guy up with promise to race for higher purses.  They were called World of Outlaws.  It was just a name because they now had a rule book  and they could not race at non sanctioned races.  The rule book is now thick and you can not do much inovative rule bending.

Of course, there is a finite amount of purse $$ available, even if a guy was to win every race. That goes without saying...

I took it to mean that they actually specified how much you can win.... which isn't true. I don't see where the next sentence makes it any more clear

Yeah I think OP was just trying to have some fun with some alternative names for the series.     I expected more creativity out of Hoseheads.

Anyone not running with USAC was considered an Outlaw at one time.  That along with the popularity of the "outlaw" lifestyle made famous by Waylon & Willie.  Ted started the Outlaws a year or so after the Album "Red Headed Stranger".  That was the way I saw it at the time but I tend to live in my own reality so.....

That's the way I see it also. Running USAC back then was a means to an end which was a shot at the Indy 500 and Indy car racing. When that went away Ted started the tour and guys started making a living in Sprint cars

They referred to IMCA as an outlaw circuit.  Triple A until the mid 50's then it was rebranded as USAC.  Trust but verify, I haven't been to a race yet this year so I have no authority to share childhood memories.
