I think a bunch of people need to get a hobby vs. making conspiracy theories up about every, single news event, and sporting event that is unfavorable to them.  It really, really gets old after a while.  The only possible way Sweet could beat that field of cars last night, was to be under weight..........................give me a break!  LMFAO

This reminds me of that ridiculous controversy when Schatz won in NY state and the flagman said in VL "did I help you" or something to that effect and everyone claimed that Schatz and the flag man conspired to cheat the competition.

If Sweet really was underweight 2 things would happen: 1) teams would start talking and dropping off the tour because he's getting an unfair advantage or 2) everyone would start shaving weight to match the advantage

I agree its a bush league look and they need to be more careful about optics but this seems like a silly conspiracy theory.

I did not say he was under weight.  But the visual of a guy with a team shirt checking the weight and an official with a High Limit  fire suit on not verifying the results does not look good.  If the person who checked the scale results is in fact an official with the company, tell us.  If he, is he has every right to do what he did, but at the very least he should be wearing an official's shirt.  If he is not an official, it looks bad

The flagman was wrong in what he did and Schatz was not in control of that either.

In this case Sweet is really a victim because he is strapped in the car and cannot see what's going on behind him.  Sweet did not cause this. How he handles it is what really matters.

Sweet and Gravel are the two best sprint car drivers right now. He can and does win without this bullshit.

Not a theory. It actually happened. I doubt Sweet was light. Just looks so bad.

I thought only things like this happened with the outlaws......Aren't they the bad guys?

I guess taking it to the next level requires bringing it up to the current level first.

I think there's been a big misunderstanding amongst the divided fanbase.  I knew this was going to be the end result, but I didn't expect it so soon.  All of the Outlaw "haters" actually thought the HL was going to be the savior of sprint car racing, (not sure why they needed one) because the Outlaws were such a crooked, biased group.  But, here we are, mid-May, and it seems like the entire fanbase has turned on the HL and/or the Outlaws.  We jump to ridiculous conspiracy theories so quickly.  When Sweet was an Outlaw, he was getting favoritism from the officials in the work area-----even after he announced he was starting a rival series---and idiots still believed this.  Not one single non-outlaw team was ever shorted their minimum time in the work area---EVER---and yet some believed this to be true. The HL was going to do things right---no conspiracies, no shenanigans, no favoritism.  That was shot to hell in 2 months.

As Nick14 stated----if you hate Brad Sweet, just say "I hate Brad Sweet."  It's okay.  If you truly believe Sweet was under-weight at the scale, and he needed to be under-weight to beat that field of cars, you're part of the problem with our fan base right now.  If you don't like Kyle Larson, just say "I hate Kyle Larson"----no need for all of the other theories that don't hold weight and make us all look dumb.  Just boo a driver like the old days.

Should the proper title be " your lightness " if indeed that actually did happen?

If u want to just watch and enjoy good racin, quit beachin. I know alot to ask, but i guess all the drivers got paid off since 40 showed up tonite right. Hell lets just turn this site into the national enquirer for racin

You are spot on! And Brad Sweet is a joke!! On a thread earlier comparing HL to WWE is more accurate than we thought. Car weighed in at 1406lbs. last night.

6. Weight a) All racecars must weigh a minimum of 1425 pounds with a driver fully prepared to compete in the car throughout an entire event.

#BanBradSweet #FineTheFeralCat

Where did you get the information the car weighed 1406. Replay clearly showed 2 officials, 1 crew member and sweet at the scales which were in the infield. And the computer was already opened. But was it really turned on. Give me a break lol. Oh and I am not a sweet fan

You won't resolve any issue on this site.lol.  This place has changed a lot since it started but as we know, everything changes. This site used to have post race recaps and discussions, tech questions and answers, and more positive and productive posts. Now it's a modern day bitch fest, kinda like The View with some Jerry Springer thrown in.

My two cents. I'm not super impressed with either group at this point. I went to a WoO show and the racing was boring, I watch HL on Flo and the racing is about the same. I will not be paying 40 bucks to watch over hyped slot car racing anymore.

You are entirely correct Beezr.   By the time any of these threads gets to the third page the discussion has morphed into bitching and name calling and the discussion isn't even about what the OP started.    See the "another thing for high limit" thread as a classic example.   In the past I've come here for news about drivers changing rides, tracks opening or closing, etc.   Now that information is on the Dirtrackr YouTube page pretty quickly.   It's getting to where coming here isn't worth the effort, which is sad because I really enjoyed it in the past.
