I am very disapointed to see that there will be no GSC races at Kings Speedway this year. I am just amazed that this track, which used to hose the WoO opener, is basically extinct when it comes to the top levels of sprintcar racing. I understand that there have been a number of changes, but this is a track with the ability to host a good event like this. Will there be no Cotton Classic as well?
Also, what is going on with Chowchilla. Still closed?

Have you attended an event there since Frank Dias "took over"?
Track prep is horrible, and as a promoter......he ain't no Dave Swindell. Davey Boy needs to go as well.....nice guy, but has anyone told him it's MAXIM, not maximum.
They have painted the food booths, upgraded the menu, and for the first time in several years I didn't have to stand in a puddle of pee in the men's room.
I'd love to see someone like Tom/Tommy Tarlton take over, run a weekly 360/410 combined series, a la Baylands Raceway, and see what transpired....
C'mon Tommy....You can do it!

Last season at Kings they weren't very good at paying the drivers in a timely manner (thats being nice BTW) . They lost their dates during last season because they would not, when given the chance, insure the purse would be paid for the last GSC event.
FP is correct about the track prep, if you want to call it that. The times I was there (June being the last trip) the surface was horrid at best.
As for Chowchilla I don't know what ass the fair board there has their collective heads up, but at this point I don't see much happening there either.

I guess I wasn't aware that Kings had taken such a turn for the worst. Obviously not guaranteeing the purse is a huge issue. The track used to be a decent place and it is really too bad with everything that you are stating. Hopefully they get their act together.
