Was Brown sand bagging qualifying a little on purpose? Good grief he looked bad all night.

Two guys who didn't finish their features finish16 and 17 tied with two guys who finished well in their features.  interesting  if ties in points go back the time trials why is Sweet below Macri?

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

The tiebreaker is finishing position in the A main, not qualifying time.

Ok, much like Jesus Christ on Easter the cream has risen yet again at the Knoxville Nationals. The top 5 in points were the odds on favorites to win the thing, the only one missing is Gravel who had trouble in his heat.

So we know again, and have always known, that the format remains perfect and everyone needs to STFU.

One thing that's fairly clear from the 2 prelim nights, 2024 is definitely going to be Brian Brown's year.

I think Brown has an excellent chance to win and to advance to the A.

I don't think anyone is bashing Brown at all. What is going on is the yearly Hoseheads delusion that this will really be the year that he wins the Nationals.

LOL If he wins a few weekly shows at Knoxville next year, the Outlaws and Larson and Rico will have to step it up to beat Brownie at the Nationals in 2024.

Trying to distract myself from the fact Macedo won. Not a huge Macedo fan.

Brown looked awful. No ifs ands or buts. I know I'm the conspiracy guy but why did Brown go high both laps when everyone setting fast time at his point was rolling the bottom. Seems like he thought 10-15 quick was where he would rather be to make an easier average and a front row A main spot. If he qualifies 3-4 cars better he is on the front row and if he wins his heat and finishes top three in the feature he would have been in the top 10 in points easy. It's like he just barely missed the perfect fool proof plan.

But he couldn't even keep up with Aryton who honestly has looked off all year. Then he is getting slid by Zearfoss in the main and falling back. By his standards last night was not good. That car did not show the same speed it has on a weekly show. Every year it's like he tries to out smart the system and I'm a Brown fan. Seriously I am And I'm embarrassed to admit it here today in front of all of you who I don't know! Smile

Bingo! And I know for a fact he watches Dirtvision on his phone in the hot grid in the car before he times weekly so unless he was too Dutch like me to get the Nationals package then I would have to assume he knew the track was moving down. In the past I've seen Brown run low both laps and miss the bottom each time and end up in a similar bad situation. Firm believer here of first lap rip the lip and second lap you have to try the bottom in some sort of way if not too greasy yet. Might be a mix of just 1&2 or just 3&4  or low the entire way but some different variation to search for speed.

Either way car had no speed later in the night. Not a Brown track and (don't shoot the messenger) but not my favorite track. Was way too bottom dominate all night for my liking. Racing was good, yes, but I like them won up top with massive sliders. Amac did that last night late in the A when I think the track came in better than it had been all night which was worth the price of admission right there.

Question of the day:  What caused the tires to go for Pittman and Sweet?  Debris on the track?  Damage from contact?  Tire Failure?  Has anyone said or speculated?
