For all you folks that like loud things:

I have poor hearing, racing, wrenching and loud tunes definitely took their toll on my hearing over 60 plus years. I finally bought hearing aids about 15 years back, great, didn't know what I was missing, made it tough to ignore conversations but really handy for simple comprehension. Actually didn't have to read lips to function.

Four years ago I went to another provider and had some testing done, my hearing was getting worse so I buy even nicer hearing aids because they had bluetooth capability as well as background noise tuning. Game changer, now my phone audio comes through my earpieces, I can tune out background noise in a restaurant, I can boost that really high voiced lady I'm having a conversation with or tune out that really loud guy at the table next door.

As a result I can listen to whatever audio I recieve through my phone, you know, like sprint car broadcasts? I watch at least 4 or 5 A mains a week while my signifigant other watches the programming that she prefers. Sometimes I use the phone, other times I watch my laptop and listen to the audio from the phone. Life is good.

So if she is on you to get help for your hearing.  Getting hearing aids is actually going to make your life better. Nobody gives a rat's ass that you're wearing hearing aids, what people will notice is you quit asking them to repeat themselves. If your above a certain age, a lot of medicare plans cover hearing testing and may help with costs.

All of you reading this: Use hearing protection! Pretty sure I'm partially deaf because I didn't.

See you at the Nationals!
