The 360 Nationals have grown so much it has me wondering. Why not run the same 4 day format as the 410 Nationals?  That is, add the Friday show into it and run it the same.  Would they consider it?  More ticket sales. More revenue?  As a marketing person, I'd love the opportuity to sell another night for sponsorships etc.  As a fan, I'd love the opportuity to watch another night of good racing.

Gonna have to pay more to convince that many drivers to run another night and likely need more butts in the seats. As someone who has the luxury of going to both nationals every year since I live close I usually skip the Friday night of 410 nationals. It's has way more importance now but to me the 3 day format is better but I do recognize the extra $$$ behind an additional night.

Good question, My .02 is that 9 or 10 days is already a long time to be in Knoxville. Those 4 spots on friday are worth a lot of money to the teams during the 410 nationals. A minimum of $19,000 per team. The 360 nationals is worth about $1,500 for those 4 spots.

Also at the 360 nationals I think there is more fall out from teams that are in the C main and back. Would another night keep them there longer? Would that extra night be worth it for the fans?

That's a very good way to look at it.

Well said. Sort of forgot about the payout aspect. A 4th day would certainly have to be sold to the race teams as a chance to really increase your final payout Saturday if you suceed on Friday.  I suppose it would be hard to up those antees for the 360 Nationals with the money already flying around.  It would take a really good 360 sponsor.  Tell you what. I'll be that sponsor when I hit the Mega Millions Tuesday night.

Why would Knoxville Raceway want to increase the number of days or the payout when they are already losing a lot of money on the 360 nationals?  The biggest money makers on this are Dingus and HyVee and a few other places in town.

I think maybe some of lost my point or what I thought my point was. And that is how enjoyable Friday night has become during the 410 Nationals. I remember going back in the day when it was a horrible show and nearly worth skipping. Now that it is "Hard Knox" night or "Last Chance" night with valuable prize on the line for those willing to gamble its a great night of racing. I was merely thinking that the 360 show and car count is grown so much now that it could also be worthy of a Friday night Hard Knox Last Chance show.  I see the aspects and reasons not to have it based on a couple comments.  But I also think it could easily work really well too and could become a nice little extra night of racing.
