I just noticed he is not on the entry list for the Nationals. Chase Dietz in the 1a tonight. Kind of odd since they had so much success there recently, didn't Jacob and Logan both win pre-lim nights last year? I guess it's not surprising considering his recent and brief "step away", but still kind of strange.

I think maybe it's time we consider the evidence that Jacob doesn't enjoy and should not be racing full time on the WoO tour.  Bristol last year, Grove and Nationals this year.  Let's face it if he was in a ride owned by someone other than Dad this would be a one way ticket onto the "whatever happened to.." highway.  I wish the young man the best - he has done well, but it doesn't appear his heart is in it to make the sacrifices to compete at the highest level of the sport.  I hope he finds comfort and happiness.

Sometimes I wonder, especially here lately, if he wouldn't be happier (maybe that's not the best word to describe it) by running the 1A car weekly in Central PA, running a schedule like a guy like Danny Dietrich does. Maybe run for the Lincoln points championship. I think he would do very well, and he certainly would have fan support.

Just my thoughts.
