Exciting finish due to Sweet's misfortune but other than that it was mostly slot cars around a heavy cushion. Hopefully tonight the cushion is another lane higher and less heavy so there can be more passing.

I'm sorry, but the Grove stinks. I know it has history, but 20 second laps in single file. The hobby stock special at Husets Wednesday was better than most Grove races. May race school busses there instead

Could say the same thing about Eldora last week. The racing was trash. All hype because of history.

I'm enjoying these "racing sucks" posts. I thought the Grove was fine both nights, then again I actually enjoy sprint car racing. A foreign concept for the 12 or so who still post on here.

I'd probably go to more races if 90% of them weren't 1500 miles away.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Ever think these cars today are so equall that unless a driver makes a mistake on big fast tracks this is what your going to get. Again, with what you think is bad racing trully is multiple cars that if they qualify well have the best chance. Sure a few come from deep in the pack, but that is only due to them missing the set up in TT or there heat race. No one has the best of the best or the drum of fuel that cost 1500 anymore. Many of today's cars have the best money can buy. The difference today is does driver and car chief communicate well enough to understand what each other wants. Case in point little Haud, the equipment and driver are there, the communication between driver and car chief are not.

I've been going to the Grove since the late 70's and the racing hasn't changed much. Yeah there used to be some teams that had far superior equipment than others and could pass cars all night, but the grove has always been a choo choo train track. I don't understand why people who watch races there expect it to be a passing fest. I live 25 minutes from the place but only go a handful of regular shows a year, I go there to enjoy hanging out with my friends mostly and hope that it will be one of those nights when racing is good. People should just be happy that Kathy wants to keep the place open ..
