This is getting ridiculous. Maybe the answer is having new joiners answer a couple sprint car questions that are either common knowledge for most of us, or a little harder requiring a look up. These clowns will have no clue as to the answers. Correct answers, you are in. Miss a question, admission denied. Just a thought

That might be worth a shot. Clearly nothing else is working.

411 - I forwarded this 'CATCHA' sort of idea post to Jeff this morning to see if it's something that can be programmed within the confines of the software he uses.
He also has finished the programming so I can delete/ban these spammers in a one-step process.
So at least if the spammers figure out their 'efforts' are short-lived, maybe they'll move on to somewhere else.

I see a problem with this as well because if any of these are actually 'people' posting these, they, along with us can figure those out. Obviously if it is a computer, no. Plus, will we have to do one of thise 'captcha's every time we log in? No need for that. I think my suggestion is best as it leaves those of us already here, to be able to freely post. Only newcomers will be asked the initial couple of questions. No answers, no join

Alternatively, the forums could be moved from a 1995 platform to one from at least post-2010, any of which would immediately solve all of this and can be integrated in less than a day lol.

That's fine--just don't complain about why your 1995 tech isn't working in 2023 times lol.

That would work. Of course, it would take some money to do that. That could raise the cost of what you pay to enjoy Hoseheads.

A new spammer post just popped up.
And the new button Jeff made for me worked to delete their account - and deleted a previous post of theirs as well...so there's no reason anymore to email the spammer to delete their account.
So lets see how this goes going forward.
