Track must be great since drivers complained and now everyone gets show up points only.

It rained right before race time, turn 2 needed a Jeep to get across, but they fixed it up before the heats

Smart move by the all star officials. Hey they tried there best, the area had a lot of rain . Gave everyone pts for showing up and went to 25 laps. If they did not put the effort in people would have condemned the place and the all stars.

It rained the night before not on race day and they never got it right.

The only reason they did it was because Wise didn't make the dash and cried. They said at one of the many meetings if a Allstar member didn't want to race they would make it show up points only. He knew Courtney was starting up front and he wasn't good.

They made the call that it was show up points before the 1st heat went onto the track had nothing to do with Wise.

At least the drivers could see this time. For whatever reason Wayne county gets a pass for its issues, maybe because it's an older track, Hauds home track whatever. It's a sketchy place rain or shine.

We finally don't have to hear the stupid played out Ohio track water truck keys lost cornball jokes and now we have people bitching about a heavy race track. Have you ever seen the video of the famous 1976 Hulman Classic at Terre Haute with Pancho Carter furiously chasing Opperman thru the choppy ruts of glory?

How about a decent racetrack that does not break racecar parts! Was that 1976 race a winged or non wing race? Saw a lot of cars break parts after banging through ruts in turns 1 & 2. There is a difference between heavy tracks & rough tracks!

You must have missed Cap Henry's podium interview. He sure made it sound like a few made enough noise to influence the show up points decision. Both Henry and Courtney deserve to be awarded points for having the cahones to stay and race IMO.

I didn't miss anything. All stars made it show up points before first heat so it was not after Wise didn't make the dash like the late model dude said is all I was commenting on.

Probably the worst race track I've ever seen in my life. Cars bouncing around like pinballs. They should have never raced on that and I can't believe any driver would risk life and limb or a busted up race car for what? 6G? I wonder how many teams found broken parts or a cracked frame when they went over their cars after the race. Kudos to them for trying to put on a show I guess.

i don't care when it was announced. That wasn't my point.
I simply pointed out that it appeared Cap Henry felt that the decision to just award show points, whenever it was decided and announced, was influenced by a few outspoke teams. I know of one and based on some Twitter posts, I have a pretty good idea who another team was.

They said on Flo the decision was made to make it a show up points event AFTER discussing it with some All Star drivers.
