_Swap Meet and Golden State Banquet all in One Day_
(Chico, CA 12-05-07)...The 2008 new year starts out with a big bang as
both the annual Silver Dollar Speedway Swap meet and the King of
California banquet will be held on Saturday, January 5. Starting at 8
am
the Silver Dollar Speedway will host the annual racer's swap meet at
the
Silver Dollar Fairgrounds. To be a vendor please contact the office at
(916) 969-7484, space is limited this year. Inside the pavilion is
filled up because of a go-kart racing service.
Following the conclusion of the swap meet the 2007 Golden State King of
California banquet will be held at Feather Falls Casino that night. The
series banquet will recognize the top 10 in points, have a video
presentation by Mike Doyle and feature the emcee duties of Troy Hennig
and Bill Sullivan. Drinks and appetizers start around 6 pm with dinner
to follow. Please call the office to reserve your spot at this year's
banquet. Feather Falls also has a KOA campground and the new Lodge
hotel
