Thank you much for this.

The man loved and contributed to this sport very much.

He loved the banter and was passionate with the back and forth.

RIP.

Mike was a hoot.  I met him at one of the lowest points in my life almost 20 years ago at the Grove and after 20 minutes of talking to him we realized we knew each other from here.  Quality human.

Thanks for posting.  My work and vacations took me to many parts of the country.  I don't recall the first time I met Mike, but we became friends instantly.  Through the ten or so years he took fuzzy photos at the races, I was at the various located tracks at least 20+ times.  During the Chili Bowl, I hung out at his vending space every year he was there.  All of those memories and those I met that followed him as I did, I will cherish forever.  RIP MSPN.

Thank you for posting. I never met him, but enjoyed seeing him go back and forth with others on here. R.I.P. Mike.

RIP Mike... Used to stop by his booth whenever he was at Knoxville to say hi! Boy did he use to keep the pot stirred with the Posse fans! I would like to think a lot of it was just fun racing bantor!  He's watching Sprint Cars from another dimension now and probably with his ole buddy Shawn McDonald.... RIP MSPN

RIP Mike.  He made his way up to Princeton, Minnesota, for the WoO.  I had the opportunity to meet him and hang around in the infield for a couple days.  Great guy, funny and we continued to interact on social media right up until recently.

Don't think I ever met the man, unless... what booth did he have at ChilI Bowl? The one with notebooks of old modified photos, etc? In that case I probably met him & didn't know it...lotsa cool stuff & I spent quite a bit of time there

Sorry to hear this. I met Mike a couple times at Williams Grove and Grandview. He liked to stir up us posse fans but he was good guy who liked to have fun doing what he loved - watching and photographing sprint cars. RIP MSPN.

Can confirm....Mike did in fact mess with Posse peeps in good fun. Of course he always used facts to stir the pot, but he definitely had fun doing it. I don't think we ever had a videochat where that didn't come up. Truth is, he loved Pennsylvania. He said coming here was always something he circled on the calendar. He loved our tracks and Lincoln was among his favorite in the country. He would call me multiple times every race weekend during race nights to talk racing while I was at the track and he was watching from home. I'm gonna miss those calls so much. It was so weird being at Lincoln Saturday night without talking to him. What a great man. One of the finest I've ever known and ever will know. Gonna miss the hell out of him.

I got to know him back in the old chatroom days then met him at Bloomington and bought a couple photos of Ironhead that Mike took the day Ironhead  died at Daytona. At Bloomington Mike got on his ladder and shot time trials then took off for some other track. RIP. "take it easy.."

RIP Mike.  I met him at The Grove almost 20 years ago and we talked quite a bit at his booth at Knoxville in 2006.  Hadn't seen much activity from him lately and wondered where he had been.  Sad to see his obituary here.
