California posse wins Lincoln. I've never heard of Devon Borden, but good on him for coming in 3rd behind Californians Abreu and Sweet.

Borden has been running PA the last two years or so....mostly in the Heffner 27 now in the 23 since close to the end of last year. When Macri lost his crew chief....they hooked up with Devon. He is from Raymond, WA. His nickname is Daredevil.

Rico had a good run and thanked Ricky for his being a great crew cheif which everyone knows. Paul Silva when Kyle wheels his car seem to have great cars and neither with WOO teams, WOO definately helps teams be able to stay on the road or they all would pick and choose the higher paying closer races. Tough sport if you are not a top 5/10 runner everynight to pay the bills

Rico is pretty much a Posse member at this point, He has a posse crew chief plus I've seen him at a local pizza shop.

"Tough sport if you are not top 5/10 runner every night to pay the bills"-------------not just tough, impossible. Also virtually impossible to travel the country even if you ARE running top 5/10 every night. They need the WoO membership $$$, the big sponsor on the hauler, or someone's deep pockets----or a combination of those 3. Not going to happen relying on top-5 payouts all season.

In just about all divisions of racing, if you don't finish in the top three you're not covering expenses without sponsorship help. If you think its difficult to run in the top five every time out think about trying to be on the podium every race.

Rico's loved in PA so posse or not, still a very popular win. I would have liked to seen what would have happened if Rahmer hadn't messed up, looked to be the fastest car on the track. Kudo's to Lincoln for a great track with all the wind.

This is probably a reflection that message boards like this have nearly died out as much as the fact the most vocal Posse vs. WoO posters are either gone are never post here anymore, but a blatant attempt to cause a shitstorm now gets less than 10 posts 24 hours after the race. All but a few posters have moved on from such nonsense.
Holden is right, though, Rico's win was not unpopular last night. Abreu has lots of fans in central PA, and there are always Rico shirts in the stands at PA tracks.

Totally agree.
It makes me chuckle every year when I read "he should just say screw the Outlaws and run his own schedule" or "he'd be better off running without the constraints so he can hit the shows he wants to hit"...........no. Kyle Larson did it in 2020. Brent Marks did it in 2022. The rest of the drivers that try this will be upside down financially unless they limit their schedules.........................which is the opposite of what they get running the entire country for the entire season with perks.

Rico seems to do well at Lincoln & other short tracks. I saw him win at Lincoln before, midgets, several years ago
Maybe won an Allstar race there too?

He won a PA Speedweek race there last year or the year before.

Yea, I noticed less Posse/WoO bragging battles in the last couple of years.... So is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Its a tough job, but i guess someone has to do it.....
From Al Holland's column in the last SC&M: Out of 27 possible podium spots in WoO/Posse races last season, Posse took 16, WoO took 8 (Obviously 3 "true outlaws"). Out of 24 races with Posse. Allstars & WoO, Posse took 18 wins
Marks was the Big $ winner for the whole country...
I like intense fan support... in fact, my first ever sprint car race, 13 years ago at little Clinton County Speedway in Pa., upstate NY groups Patriots & Empire State Sprinters (Gravel was there), I was a bit disappointed at lack of energy from the crowd. I guess nobody cared who won...On the way home, stopped at a gas station & there were lots of cars covered with dirt, so I started talking & asking questions. I mentioned "mellow" fans & a guy told me about Williams Grove & WoO vs. Posse... the rest is history!

I would still count Marks and Dietrich as Posse memebers.
They might have signed up for the High Limit series. However, I would be willing to bet that way of 50% of there racing will be done in central PA.....DD percentage will be higher for races ran in Central PA.

If your based or run pa on a regular basis, your considered posse. You can say what you want but that's pretty much how it's been determined for years. LOL, Wolfgang was considered posse when the outlaws rolled into town. Allen, Dub and Van May, Honest you want to keep naming them

Could we get away from the childish pissing matches.....
Looking at the results, Schatz was 10th in the B and Dewease was buried in the C.
For any posse bleacher creatures that were there any insight into why these 2 struggled so bad?

So, like when an NFL quarterback goes to a different team, he's still considered part of the old team then- right?

I bet when Brady and Rodgers get in one will be a patriot and the other a packer. It looks like neither will have finished there careers were they started. Big Ben from the steelers stayed true to 1 team, that is something you may never see again. Back to sprint cars.
That new tire deal may have caught shatz, remember he along with others, gravel, usually fly in and out. As for the 69k mechanical issues got them at port royal and Lincoln both.

On one subject. Is anyone signed up for High Limit or do they just indicate that they are running most of the races. I don'tknow if anyone is considered a High limit racer for what is alreadi under 20 races.
On the Schatz Dewease question, I wasn't there but 31 cars started the feature and the hard charger was +5 so it might have been hard to pass all night.

For the High Limit races they need to sign. Because there are rewards for racing the whole schecule above and beyond the payouts.
I don't know where you were looking but the hard charger came from 21st starting position to finish 8th. Another big mover went form 25th to 13th. Another one went from 27th to 16th. All of these are a lot more than 5.
