why can'nt flo and dirtvision get together  and both show the complete show.  The sprintcars time, then for 1 hr we see nothing but commercials while dirtvision shows dirtcars.  We then go back to sprint heats then nothing but commercials and blaa blaa for 1 hr while dirtcars race, then we go back to sprint cars.  Why not both of them show complete show.  I know, it would be to easy for subscribers.

Because they are competitors.

Because they are competitors.

I'm always amazed that people can't grasp this concept.

I think most grasp it but don't schedule a competeing touring series from the other company at the same track, same night.  And there must be some bit of cooperation because if you ever watch Eldora and a few other tracks, you'll hear Johnny Gibson and Blake Anderson working together....fact.  So if they were such fierce competitors and hated each other there would be none of that going on.

It's not rocket science and it's better for the fans.  If they think their streaming service brings in more customers when you have to switch back and forth to see differrent crap at the same track, well, I doubt it.  I have all the services and even though I have two televisions and two monitors plus a laptop in my office, I prefer watching on the big screen tv.  I was getting pissed at all the waiting and switching to other broadcasts on both Flo and Dirtvision.  Eventually I just turned it off and watched the replays today.  It's what, two weeks, so give me a break " they are competitors".  They could work it out if they wanted to do so.

This scenario only comes up a few times per season.  The only other example I can think of is when USAC divisions run with the WoO at Eldora.  I have both and the Modified announcer was Chris Stephan from my home track Cedar Lake but I bounced over to YouTube for a half hour whenever they switched to Mods.  Mods don't follow Sprints very well as they don't have that excitement factor.

Tonight it's all Dirtvision so problem solved.

Bull Dung.  This year Flo and Mavtv decided they both would televise the Chili bowl finals together.  If flo shows sprintcars and also dirtcars and dirtvision  show stock cars and also sprintcars no one has an atvantage over the other.  This  is not pepsi vs coke.

MAVTV and Flo working together doesn't change the fact that Flo and DV are competitors...........................................

It's that time of year again.  We get to complain about something that is no longer a privilege but somehow has become a right.  We never got to watch sprint cars before without going to the show, the occasional Saturday night televised event on TNN or TNT, or watching a replay on Youtube.

Now, we have the live action at our fingertips from around the globe, and we still find a way to complain about it.

You do realize Flo and Mav are one and the same now when it comes to live coverage, right?

And we have "fans" threatening to boycott Lincoln because they have the audacity to limit the amount of streamed shows to 13, including all their big ones. The privilege that turns into a right comment is spot on.

It used to be 'No Drinkin' No Lincoln'.

Now it's 'No Streamin' You Must be Dreamin'.

We've gone soft as a society.

No drinkin linkin never stopped me or friends from having our fun, just had to keep an eye out for security. Always snuck brews under the fence at Hagerstown too.  Good times!

Yes, I believe we have grown more than soft as a society, I call it pussyville.

Anyone catch Donny's interview ? Said guys like Macri pull that stuff they used to get there butts kicked back in the pits. He did jump up a lane getting in the corner and clipped the 15 front wing. That could have been ugly. You have someone like Donny saying you need to get your head out of your but I would tell him he should listen up

I can't say I am a fan but I have respected Donny because he is mostly a pretty clean driver. I have heard though that he bent a few things in his younger days.

Let him without sin cast the first stone.

For the record I felt like Macri knew someone was there and he was cutting off his speed. In both cases I think Donny was at fault at Knoxville and Macri at fault in Volusia. I get that it's part of racing and part of the risk but this is the type of move that gets peoole hurt or killed. I like it when guys take the air off the car but leave a lane. it's hard to judge though at speed and not being a driver. Both cases maybe they thought they left a lane but just didn't leave quite enough?

Lynton showed a lot of class after a frightening crash. What many dont know is Tony gave him a new roller out of respect!

Didn't know that. Thanks for sharing. Pretty cool of Tony to do that honestly. Sometimes you or your driver makes a mistake and with the means to make it right he did.

Watching the video, I don't see where Macri did anything wrong. Moved up a lane to get to the cushion going into the turn but he was cleary ahead of Schatz and I don't see how he could have even known Donny was there. It certainly wasn't as dirty as the dive bomb Schatz put on the 5 a couple laps later. If the Bayston doesn't see him in time to lift, then the 15 would have drove right through him. I guess everyone is supposed to move out of Donny's way now.

Back to the original point about Flo & DV...

Some guys here call it  whining & an example of a soft, "pussified" society

Or you could say its suggesting improvements to an already good thing.. its called "Progress"

I have both streaming services & it doesn't bother me that much, plenty of racing to come this summer. I just do something else when the modifieds are on....

Do these people really think being willing to switch back & forth between streaming services makes them some kind of tough guys???? wink
