I was raised in Millerstown.  I actually cheered for Todd when Jimmy Russell wrenched for him.  His stats don't add up to National HOF numbers.

There's plenty of guys in there who's "stats" you would have a problem with. What about Kramer you saw him race right?  In your thinking URC doesn't count right just the big dawgs your so in love with.

I really didn't see him race that much.  I didn't go to very many 360 shows or pay attention to them when the 410's were there.  Really don't have an opinion on Kramer either.  Never really cared for the 360's unless some of the 410's guys were racing with them.

Williamson does have a couple of outlaw wins and won the National Open at the Grove.

He built his own cars if I rembember right.  Didn't he travel some with USAC?

Didn't really pay attention to him or his career.  He mostly ran 360's when I started going to the races.  I am going by memory of the records I posted of Kramer.

Doesn't sound like your informed enough to say who gets in anything.

When it comes to the mid 80's to the present in 410 racing.  I have a good idea who had great careers and who had ok careers.

I was looking back through some of the inductions into the HOF and it took Mark Kinser 9 years to make it in after he stopped racing in 2005 with over 150 WOO wins. So the theory that  it's about WOO wins doesn't hold water. Sorry Strawser. I think it may have something to do with actually being offically nominated. This was the first year Shaffer was offically nominated and he was on the final ballot. I would be surprised if this wasn't the case with Mark Kinser and he was elected on the first time, which would make sense.

Shaffer has had over 10 years to get into the National Hall of Fame, since drivers are eligible when they are 50. His first year nominated that didn't take but over 10 years.   He still has yet to get in.  He will someday when they start running low on drivers to put in....maybe next year?    Sorry Ducer......I see some people have to hide behind screen names.

It's not just numbers but impact and contributions to the sport. And sorry that is my real name.

I know that it is not just about the numbers.  It is also about the impact and how you handle yourself at the track (fighting) and away from the track.

I wasn't talking you you when I said that to Ducer.

What? When did screen names become relevant to the conversation? Dude, you seriously need to go talk to someone

Nope you just don't want anyone to know who you are.  You have to hide behind your screen name.  No one can know who you really are....they might not like me anymore.

I have stoped caring a long time ago what people think.

Really? You think everyone in the hof is a saint? I'll make this easy for even you, go ask the drivers he competed against in probably the toughest era in Central Pa Rahmer,Dewease,Kreitz ECT or ask Bryan Householder who knows more than you will ever know. Fighting now that is hilarious oh boy you are a flake.

I could careless what you think.....If Todd were really that good he already would have been in the hall of fame.  He was a little above average in wins and what he ment to the sport of sprintcar racing.  That is it.

What did he do when the big dogs came to town?  Sometimes didn't even run with them.  That is not what I would call a Hall of Fame driver.

He shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Dewease, Hodnett,  Kreitz, Kauffman, and Rahmer.  They were/are great drivers!

I said ask them and see what they think, they would know he beat them many times. So your saying anyone who didn't beat the big dogs don't deserve it? Great now take that opinion out there and tell the voters that since you are the superior intellect of anything sprint car racing. Or start a Woo hall of fame yourself and see how many people give a shit.

Todd Shaffer ABSOLUTELY belongs in the HOF.  He's top 5 in total wins in what was one of the most competitive ages of Central Pa. racing.  It's not even an argument.

There were a lot of times he never tried.  Since when do quitters deserve anything?  If you want to be in the hall don't run away with your tail between your legs. He is very good at that!

That is why he is there. He only had over 10 years to get in so far.  He will get in sometime....that is when they start running low on drivers to induct.  Doesn't mean he deserves it.
