Hey I will be up to Tulsa in a couple of weeks and want to get a ride around in that BMW you have from all that money your making building sprint car engines, We can go get plate of Mexican food (your choice cause ya know the town) and throw down a few cold ones , swap some lies and shoot the shit and you can remind me of ALL that money your making off those Sprint Car Engines, LOL.

JD are you going up for the Shootout again? Lee's racing Bobby Springer's second car (as Bobby is running the first entry). I say we all meet up and go to Casa Viiiiva and get some good old Mexican food. I'd like to finally meet the man, the myth, the legend Kelly in person too.
PS: Kelly was that you that waved at me in the staging line at the Bowl?

That explains a lot! I'd rather forget that night anyway. I looked like an aggie the first night out down there.
I like Casa Viva, I've had complaints from fellow friends about the place but they aren't mexican food lovers (that's just unamerican) in the first place. They don't only give you chips and cheese, they give you guacamole too!
Sooner7nc is in the know! To bad we can't get an 8th NC so you have to change your name this year huh?

Ah the old Casa Viva. I think it is better than the last couple of years of Casa Bonita. The guy that originally started Casa Bonita re-opened this one. Let me know what time and I'll show you boys how it is done.

Casa Bonita closed and now the guy that started it opened up Casa Viva in the same place.
You guys have a lot to live up to, one time Rickey ate 9 tacos and 8 enchiladas...we figured there was NO WAY he could eat the sopapilla, but he put it down like a champ.
With all of these "big boned" fellas you think they will have a table big enough for us. I really want to sit in the cave. I'm hungry already.

Sooner7nc, Wondered if the powers that be in the ASCS are going to get ya some help writing stories for all those regions, I'm seein all nighters typing at the laptop and thanks for the info about the Shootout running a day longer.
So Casa Bonita is now Casa Viiiva , we ate there last year at the Chili Bowl and is was still Casa Bonita , Count me in for a plate of Mexican food and a glass of Ice Tea in the Cave at the joint. Sounds Tasty.
Now if we can just get a ride in Kelly's new BMW to the place, were all set.
CCC, That place is Freddie's Steak House on the old Hwy.66 on the north side of Sapulpa. They serve Steaks and Ribs and serve Tabuli , Good stuff.

Beware - CHEESE in his element - MEXICAN FOOD!! Rickey's record could be broken (if not already)
Bobby, I've never seen Lee need the Pepto unless it was after Waffle House!

Freddie's - thanks man I'll try to remember it. That tubuli looked scary - but was actuallt really good.......with the amount of time headin up or chillin in Tulsa between Dec. 29 and Jan. 12 - I'm definitely gonna have to go there..................
I think I'll ask this same question in the general forum too - but many peeps talk of all these legendary places to eat during the Bowl - what and where are some of these places?
