I can say that I enjoyed the AllStar race at Williams Grove tonight. Finally able to enjoy a race at the Grove without the worst track announcer in the nation. I can't believe that he is still announcing at the grove. Tonight they had two great announcer that were informative and you didn't need to wait on the next word to come out of their mouthes. I hope there is nothing wrong with Ellis health wise or family. I just had to state it was enjoyable to listen to both of the announcer tonight.

If Bruce Ellis makes Williams Grove un-enjoyable for you then maybe you should just not go to, or watch Williams Grove. I love watching Port Royal but I think the weekly announcer is awful. But he doesn't take my enjoyment, I just turn the volume down a little more ��♂️

Bruce is far from the worst in the country. Even now at his age. How about we have a little respect for the guy who has contributed his life to sprint car racing. And it's not just announcing, anybody that has a clue knows how much Bruce does for this sport. Guy has a smooth calm voice that sounds good over the speakers imo. I can't imagine going to Williams Grove and not hearing Bruce on the mic on Fridays.

Have you ever heard lincoln's announcer ? Couple weeks ago he was calling the heat race over and they had 2 or 3 laps to go. I thought the guy was stroking out. Bruce doesn't get all crazy and start yelling into the mic. Not sure how many years he has at the grove ? He's been around a long time.

Nonsense. Bruce knows when to stay quiet unlike Blake and the former Port announcer who blab on constantly. I hope he's back next week as it isn't the same without him.

tire guy can you clarify for me... I also enjoyed the broadcast, I thought it was by far the best flo has ever done... But I just "assumed" they were doing a stand alone broadcast for Flo while Bruce did the standard anouncing... did they do both??

No.....what you heard on the broadcast is what we heard at the track. Unless I missed it, they never mentioned why Bruce was not there last night???

That's the Grove and Dietrich said that was the best the track has been so far this year. 1/2 mile paper clips are obsolete with today's sprint cars IMO. There's hardly any side by side or close racing. Rahmer was actually coming through the field like gangbusters until he got a flat. Too bad, he was the whole show.

I just wonder why somebody would go out of their way on a Saturday to complain about a track announcer.
If you're going to complain...another Grove race was won at the dash redraw. Enjoyed the race a lot more from my couch on flo.

Bruce is still one of the best, a legend in the sport. Somebody better inform Brouse that the Blaney's are from OH, not western PA. Brouse is OK and very knowledgeable. I don't mind him but he likes to just ramble on and on sometimes, like name dropping former 80's and 90's racer Krautheim during the middle of the race for who knows what reason.
