So is Woo doing the invite only this year for Bristol? Haven't heard anything this year about it. Really wonder where the Woo are going to get cars to fill the field this year. All Stars are in Western PA, Knoxville is running Saturday, Powri Winged 410's at Lake Ozark, and USCS 360's in Tennessee at I-75. Lots of competition for cars that weekend.

i don't know if it's invitation. i thought bristol might wait to see how the woo weekend goes before announcing the dirt race is coming back next year. i heard attendance/car counts for the late model races weren't good. nascar tv ratings came down and that was all they needed to move forward for next year. it's another example of how much tv moves the world these day.
we went down sunday for the nascar race and we really enjoyed it. i'm always amazed at people who aren't open to different forms of racing. there was nobody walking down around the track because apparently they're allergic to dirt.

LOL... Let's see if anyone shows up at the POWRi Winged 410's at Lake Ozark before we start worrying about it stealing cars from the WOO. This is definitley putting the cart before the horse. If they have more than 8 cars show up, I will buy you an adult beverage. If they have more that 6 cars with a 410 as the power plant, I will buy two adult beverages.

I see the POWRi 410 race to be held this weekend in Little Rock (a 360 track) was canceled by I-30, POWRi is claiming it’s just postponed to a later date?

It doesn't look like Knoxville will race this weekend. But I don't think that really makes any difference. There wouldn't be any Knoxville cars down there anyhow

It's 2k to start so I assume they'd get a full field if only for a few guys to run a lap and pull in. I hope the removing of some banking in the turns will slow them down somewhat and make it a but safer.

How many sprint car drivers have been hurt at Bristol....seriously what are you even talking about. Hell, how many drivers have lost their lives at Knoxville. Its sprint cars, they go real fast, they get upside down, it is a dangerous sport at any track.

I have heard more about the speeds at Bristol. Yes they are fast but the practice times are lower speed that someone who had fast time last week. I think it was Bayston qualified at over 140.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

From their news blog in the WoO website I got the impression of less than 24 at practice.
